40 years ago, LEGO released set number 600 featuring the very first minifigure, the classic Police Officer (new 2018 re-release pictured front & center). I recently chatted with my favorite LEGO Store manager, Howard, about how LEGO transcends age, gender, etc. and has so many social, educational, and psychological benefits - with only one downside... stepping on a brick barefoot. Almost 70 years of LEGO, over 100 licenses/themes, and countless film & TV series... I’m still a LEGO fan!
The “Night Operation” by one of our members @legofrenchww2 from France. This is the first non ww1/WW2 on the account and will not be our last. The lighting and dark background really creates a nighttime look to the photo. The figures are spot on and the building fits perfectly with the scene
It’s really easy to think of how OTHERS need to apply this... and yes, I’m going through something like that right now.
But I also think it’s good to do a regular “self-check” and ask yourself how well YOU are doing at offering that same good energy out into the universe.
When someone wrongs you, are you quick to assume the very worst in them?
When you get the chance to retaliate and “really let them have it”, do you take it?
Or do you summon all of the strength you have and choose the higher road?
I’m not even close to perfect at this, and I have a little Type A core in my largely Yellow personality ( think #unikitty 🤪🦄🔥) <- #legomovie reference if you didn’t catch that.
But honestly, I think those who are able to show more love and compassion, without choosing the easier victim/blame/shame road hold the greatest power over their lives and ultimately at the end of most situations.
We’re going through something hard right now, and it’s EASY for me to be full of negative emotions and make nasty punches where I rightfully can...
But I choose the higher road. Not just for me and my family’s good, but also because I truly believe things work out better for everyone when you do, and when you leave ultimate justice to God and the universe.
I choose to stop sending out negative vibes, and playing the victim in a situation where I have little control, and I decide to OWN the shiz out of what I can control, and to do everything in my power to be an advocate and proactive in helping others to step up in their lives and do the same.
Because that’s the inner power I’ve been developing for years, and I promise you, it’s worth the peace that comes with living your truth.
So step up. Take ownership. And live BOLDLY in YOUR power. ✌🏻💕
