You have feet... you can steer yourself in any direction you choose, you are the one who decides where to go, be willing to step outside your comfort zone once in a while, take the risks in life that seem worth taking. Sure, there is "security" and "safety" in planting your feet and staying put, but it will be a heck of a lot more interesting if you took some steps... you had the courage once when you learnt to walk... try to find it once again.
Pushing the boundaries of success in my recovery every day! Got to 85 degree bend today on my heel slides and focused on fighting through the discomfort and pain while my team helped push my boundaries. Definitely soar after today but really happy with my results 5 weeks post-op!!
So...evidently I have a “displaced fracture of the Triquetrum bone” in BOTH wrists! Doctor laughed and said “That’s actually hard to do in both at the same time!” Good thing treatment is removable splints and I can drive!
A couple weeks ago, K decided there might be something to this walking thing, like maybe it’s a good way to get around. He’s been determined to walk ever since. 🙌🏼 So an indoor trick-or-treat event was a pretty perfect idea for him. I am excited that he walked from one table to the next, said hi to the hosts, and put candy in his bucket. It was the most fun I’ve ever had trick-or-treating. #kodiakbill#learntowalk#toddlerlife#trickortreat#TRFireDept#monkey#halloween
For those that are not on my fb I posted this Tuesday the day of my surgery! For all you who didn’t hear what happened, I shattered my back on Monday. Got rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and couldn’t feel my legs, later was told I’ll probably never be able to walk again. My family came in strong with prayers. I had surgery last night and got feeling back in my legs. God is good! I’ll probably be here for a while depending on my recovery. Hopefully no more surgeries and a fast recovery. Thank god im alive today because I was inches away from not being able to post anything on my timeline again. Well time for another shot of morphine! ✌🏼#roadtorecovery#shatteredback#neverquit#learntowalk#keephustling#nowheelchair
