Salvador Dali Inspired Paper Plate Melting Clocks

Gym games: Hula Hoops and obstacles are a great way to engage and focus on large motor skills with kids.
Line-up-Line all the hula hoops in one long line. Have the children line up behind the first hoop. Give them specific ways to go from one hoop to the other. For example: hopping on two feet, hopping on one foot, hopping switching feet, frog hopping, bunny hopping, walking backwards, tiptoe, stomping, ect.
Rainbow color mix marble painting: We love offering kids paint experiences that go beyond the standard use of a paint brush and paper, that recently we’ve been enjoying another dynamic way to create vibrant art through painting with marbles with every colour of the rainbow! It’s a fabulous activity for exploring color mixing.
Scissor Skills with Junk Mail: An Everyday Fine Motor Material.
It's never to soon to build those finger, hand, wrist, arm muscles needed for writing. They were very content to just cut any way they wanted; however, we suggest them to try and cut out a letter and/or picture, make a shape, cut fringe, or draw lines for them to cut over.
This is the time of the year that cherry blossoms start to bloom all throughout Japan. So to introduce the Japanese culture to preschoolers we made cherry blossoms using a soda bottle… so ingenious yet easy enough for the kids!
Matching shape outlines: This is a simple activity that allows the child to explore different shapes and their many sides. This requires shapes printed and laminated and coloured matchsticks. The child chooses a shape and outlines the shape with the matchsticks. When printing out the shapes it is important to ensure the length of the sides are the same length as the matchsticks so they match precisely.
