Chipotle Lime Salmon! Healthy and delicious dinner that’s quick and easy to make!😀❤️👍
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons oil
1 lime, juice and zest
1 chipotle chili in adobo (or to taste)
2 teaspoons adobo sauce
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 clove garlic, grated
salt and pepper to taste
2 pound salmon fillet 
Instruction:
Puree the oil, lime juice and zest, chipotle chilies, adobo sauce, cumin and garlic in a blender or food processor until smooth, place the salmon on foil on a baking sheet, pat dry, season with salt and pepper, spread on the chipotle mixture and bake in a preheated 400F/200C oven (or barbecue) until just cooked, about 10-15 minutes.

🎸 So you want to make some gainz? You want to get swole. You want to get jacked, yolked, and bulked up! Well lucky for you, doing so is really not as difficult as people make it out to be! In fact, physiologically speaking, it is quite simplistic as it follows the basic principle of progressive overload and continuously, and intelligently, stressing your body to make it grow!

🎸 There are a few things that need to be done to look more like the guy on the left of the infographic😂! First thing is first and that's eating enough food, including carbohydrates! You need to eat enough to ensure you're feeding your body all the calories it needs to grow and synthesize new lean muscle tissue! You also need those carbs which not only happen to be protein sparing, but also give you the energy to kill your workouts which leads to a better stimulus for adaptation and better results!

🎸 We also want to focus primarily on compound lifts! These are the lifts with the most muscles activated and which tend to release the most growth hormone! Bench, deadlifts, squats, military presses, rows, pushups, dips, pullups, etc. are key exercises to be done, preferably in the 6-12 rep range!

🎸 Lastly is sleep and recovery! We need to ensure we not only stress the body, but also recover optimally through 7-9 hours of sleep nightly! You don't grow when you train you grow when you recover!

I’ve always naturally put on muscles easier in my lower body, but that doesn’t give me an excuse to work any less hard on it. In the past I feel like I took this as an opportunity to stay stagnant with a lot of my lifts and get settled into a comfort zone. For example, 135lbs was always my default weight for squats and I never pushed myself beyond that from lack of confidence or self doubt. Took today to focus on mostly heavy compound lifts and increasing the weight to a point where I was feeling challenged but still able to maintain good form.
Just bumping everything up by 10lbs and being able to do the same number of reps and sets as usual was enough to show me that I’m a lot stronger than I think and need to be pushing my limits even more during this growing season. This is your sign to add more weight to your lifts today, even if it’s just 5lbs💪🏼

Second leg session in my rotation going in today. With a doubt my favourite day on the plan. Focusing more on controlled eccentric movements; and really strong contractions.

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts my hamstrings used to be shit so I’m loving growing them. -
First exercise is a slow, controlled banded hack squat. Band work is super new to me, and I’m honestly loving it! The burn is unbelievable and I’m left shaking after every set. Second set is Rest Pause to 15.

Second exercise: The Dreaded Nordic Curl!
This movement should be horror stories you scare your kids with. Probably my favourite movement at present, I’m focusing on a nice tight, controlled eccentric portion, and explosive concentric.

Boost your superfood intake with this fun and simple parfait: 
1 container vanilla Siggi's or Greek yogurt (split in half) 
1 tsp dragon fruit powder
1 tsp spirulina + blue butterfly pea powder (I use @unicornsuperfoods Blue Ocean powder because it also has coconut powder, ginger and cinnamon in it for a sweet spice kick)
6 fresh organic blueberries
5 pecans, raw or toasted
1 tsp hemp seeds or chia seeds

DIRECTIONS: in a small bowl mix 1/2 of the yogurt with the pink superfood and in another container mix. Layer the two in a fun glass and sprinkle other ingredients on top.

Seriously, when I started eating this way again, I knew eliminating simple carbs was going to be hard. I had eliminated most sugars, all alcohol, 90% of starches. But to remove simple carbs?!😳😳 It's been tough, but I realized that it also gives me a chance to appreciate the cheat meals I get. I enjoy my complex carbs and natural sugars more. (I will literally never get rid of my fruits & veggies!) .
But...if a hot guy wants to take me to Johnny Carinos and buy me the jalapeno tilapia (lies of angel hair pasta 😍😍) I wouldn't be mad at them! 😘😘😘😘
