I'm away from our country for a bit, but some arty close-ups of things like the @geissele Maritime Bolt Catch should suffice. You can just smack the side of your AR-pattern rifle and you'll hit it. It's great.
Today isn't just the day we celebrate the birth of our nation, we celebrate the genesis of the grandest experiment in human history. It's about celebrating the birth of our republic, it's about celebrating our individual liberty. The Founders were smart guys. They realized a pure democracy would be pretty much mob rule, with all sorts of inane laws passed everytime someone farted or it rained a little too hard. Thus, individual liberties were recognized as sarcosanct, and put out of the reach of mere words on paper drafted by useless busybodies. They just came out of a war where someone tried to suppress individual rights, including the natural right to keep and bear arms. They didn't negotiate with the British, they shot them. They chose to be free men. As Jeff Cooper once said, "Pick up a rifle and you change instantly from a subject to a citizen..." We defend our rights not only with words and deed, but by force of arms if necessary. This Independence Day, if you don't have a rifle, make yourself a promise - get one, and train with it. Hopefully the day never comes where you have to defend your rights and your life with it, but if that day comes, you have a huge advantage over someone who is disarmed.
Apparently today is Social Media Day. Let's get out there and remind progressives they don't have the exclusivity on social media. Unlike them, we actually have conviction for what we stand for, and our grassroots is genuine. It's a few years old, but worth reading is Hands Off My Gun by @dloesch - Dana to this day still savages the opposition on social media - even in the face of verifiable death threats. Hey progs - in what universe do you think it's wise to threaten someone who is armed?
Thanks to @cwgunwerks for getting my Maritime Bolt Catch from @geissele sorted and installed on my @coltfirearms LE6920 which is now kind of a FrankenAR. There was an issue that the plunger from the previous bolt catch (story on *that* soon...) was wedged in the hole (huh huh I said hole...) was stuck in there royally and the CW crew made a maddening problem seem effortless. As an aside, the MBC looks really cool. Plus it's a little more ergonomic with that big honkin' contact surface. Yeah, it's another "minor" accessory, but it's the little things that turn a good rifle into a great rifle...
Guess I’m gonna have to junk this mag. Out of 6 mags filled, my #hexmag has done this every time. I don’t want to hear the “maybe it was a bad mag” crap because none of my magpul do this. #ar15#colt#le6920#aimpoint
What's in your range bag? Mine? I always have extra of whatever I happen to be doing that day, including things like @danieldefense DD Mags, @blackhillsammo featuring the @sierra_bullets 77gr Tipped MatchKing projectile, some @breakthrough_clean Battle Born lubricant to keep things going, as well as other accessories like a @bravoconcealment magazine holster, first-aid goodies, and a no-name Amazon special flashlight. And an Allen wrench.
