What do you do to set up your week for success? We’re all different, all do different things, and from week to week for each of us they may different depending on commitments. For me, Meal Prep must be a key part of my weekend. Having completed @lukehinesonline 10-week program, my self appointed challenge was to prep each week. So much so, now it is routine and without it, I am lost! This weekend you’ll have seen from prior posts I scored with amazing hauls from Manning Farmers Market, @the_naked_butcher & @blackpigdeli, well from that I created some delicious spreads for the week and beyond. My signature slow braised organic beef short ribs, loads of beef & chicken broth, turmeric ginger tonic & lovely luscious veggies! I even boxed up lunch for 3 co workers tomorrow - I’m sick of them drooling over my lunch each day! Oh, and the elephants you ask? They’re from Luke’s program - keto Top deck - even the trunkless ones are amazing!! Food, such an essential part of our lives, which can either harm or heal us. Bone marrow is the soft, fatty tissue inside the bone cavity of large bones where blood cells are produced. It’s nutrient-dense, contains collagen for improved joint function, plus easily digestible forms of zinc, iron, phosphorous & calcium. It is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, lipids, and Vitamin A. Marrow has been shown to boost immunity and wound-healing, support brain and hormone function, and aid in digestion by rebuilding damaged intestinal lining. But most of all it’s deliciously rich and creamy, like meat-flavored butter. Go on, drool, you know you want to 🤤 💙🖤
Yum! Thai Coconut Curry Chicken with Kaffir Lime. I made this at work yesterday and bought 3 containers for dinner. I added the English spinach and Spouting Broccoli I picked from our garden and cauliflower rice 😍🙏 warming and filling.
People say two is company, three is a crowd. I beg to differ. And if you eat this, so will you. See the fine folks at @blackpigdeli so you too can salivate over this. Too often we over complicate things, try to be fancy when really we just need simple back to basics crap free cooking/food.
A full fridge gives me a full heart, especially when what is in there are quality, amazing foods. A storm was shopped up with fresh veggies from Manning Market, Perth’s best pastured eggs by Blythe at @runnymede_binningup, then a trip to my fave @blackpigdeli for Fat & Seedy keto bread by @primalalternativebyrosie, gypsy fire tonic to cleanse the gut & keep colds away thanks to @hilbilbyculturedfood & a variety of small batch products. I’m especially excited to try @adambielawski_charcutier’s goat neck terrine, and cultured sea salt butter by @pemberton_butter_co_. Food shouldn’t be a chore, it should nourish you, please you & most of all be celebrated.

Market / Butcher / Deli ready....a busy Saturday morning starting with a visit to my favorite Perth farmers market (Manning), a beautiful drive up in the hills to Mundaring to collect a large order from @the_naked_butcher, and finished with a stop by Perth’s best deli - @blackpigdeli. Plastic bag ban starts soon - are you ready? I am, with this gorgeous insulated @poachpear bag. I also reuse my egg cartons when I pick up trays of @runnymede_binningup eggs from the market. Found the scales! So that means back to weekly weigh ins.
This is what I’ve lost since I weighed myself 2 weeks ago before the move. I’m actually really surprised, after not tracking my food for about 5 days I really thought I would gain - even though I stuck to low carb foods, my calorie intake was much higher than usual.
700g loss over two weeks isn’t usually a great loss for me but I’ll take it. Not sure if I’ll make it to under 75kg before the end of June like planned though 😂

Takeaway, it’s SO overrated. Especially when I can whip this beauty up for Friday Fakeaway. Channeling my inner @lukehinesonline with pork belly by @adambielawski_charcutier, sautéed @freshprovisions greens, raw hazelnuts & @princi_butchers pancetta. The nuts add a soft crunch, pancetta a delicate saltiness & the greens pure yumm! Something this delicious & using ingredients of supreme quality deserves to be celebrated & complemented but a simple condiment - @hilbilbyculturedfood’s lacto fermented mustard fits the brief. It’s times like this I realize how much my life revolves around food, how much joy I get from eating quality produce & excitement I get from creating amaze balls, tasty creations. 💙🖤

I made a beautiful Coconut chicken curry with kaffir lime at work today and I bought 3 containers to have as a lazy dinner tonight with cauliflower rice and I’m adding my veg to bulk it out as that’s the way I like my Thai Curry’s. 😍🍵
