Avocado toast on my low carb 90 second microwave bread! woke up not very hungry today so rolled w/ it and ended up fasting 16 hours. My fasts are typically unplanned and only when I’m truly not hungry. It made the toast taste all that much better!! 💚🥑

Lunch was superfood meatballs by @perfectketones which have shallot, carrot, herbs and a mix of grass-fed beef and chicken livers. Yes liver! Organ meats have SO many minerals and micronutrients but I find it hard to eat straight. I only liked them in pate but now I found a new favorite! These r awesome. You grind up the livers in a food processor and then into the ground beef. They are super yum!! Love them over spaghetti squash w/ veggies and just a little red sauce and EVOO! Give it a try!

@sugarfiresmokehouse (again 😂). This time had to try their grass-fed blended burger w/ a mix of chuck, brisket, and boneless short rib! Bun-less of course.

Fluffy eggs and 1/2 a @mikeys cinnamon raisin low carb English muffin! Served up w/ my Keto coffee (not pictured). This combo of eggs and my fatty coffee (w/ collagen powder) always keeps me satisfied until lunch w/ no desire to snack! I think I need lots of protein in the morning.

Hotel keto! Ha! Brought my own low carb no-oatmeal (just add hot water and unsweetened almond milk). Topped w/ macadamia nuts. The hotel coffee was so bad I made the #starbucksvia instant coffee and mixed in collagen and a @bulletproof single MCT oil pack best I could. Not pretty but got the job done and I feels satisfied.

Consists of sunflower and almond butters, cacao butter, chia seeds, flax seeds, maca powder, pumpkin seeds, hemp hearts and salt. Just dropped on a cookie sheet and refrigerated. They soften if left out of the fridge but hold up well if eaten straight from the fridge. 
I’m usually pretty lazy about making fat bombs and just mix up a single serving at a time if I want one but these were nice to have on hand.

I haven’t made this zucchini noodle, dairy free lasagna in a long time but it’s SO good. I first tried it when I embarked on my first @cleanprogram cleanse about 7 years ago. 
Tho I’m eating Keto now, I still incorporate a lot of the recipes and ways of eating after using their cleanse program to eliminate common food allergens and the reintroduce them to ID trigger foods.

Oh matcha latte why did I stop drinking you lately in exchange for coffee?! How I’ve missed you! 💚
In an effort to at least reduce my caffeine I’m going to try and alternate coffee and matcha days. And, planning to cut my coffee beans w/ half decaf. Trying to start w/ no more than one in a.m. and one additional caffeinated beverage in the afternoon (I love an afternoon tea). Trying to set some boundary’s and goals on this and stop relying on caffeine to get me thru the day!

Batch cooking my sides for the week! Roasted cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, and spaghetti squash! It cooled off today so took advantage and fired up the oven!

I dipped my cauliflower in @primalkitchenfoods Chipotle Lime Mayo cause it just makes everything taste that much better! And b/c...fat! 😉

WOW! These were so simple yet flavorful. I used uncooked shrimp and it’s still such a quick meal. I also used garlic scapes in place of the garlic and it worked really well. I served mine up w/ some sautéed zucchini. Yum! 🍤

Breaking my 17 hour fast w/ this fantastic salad! The fast felt so easy this time. I never force one. I eat if I’m hungry but after my carb cycles it comes naturally. 
Loaded this up w/ mixed greens, heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, refrigerator pickles, hard boiled egg, broccoli sprouts, avocado, leftover salmon and roasted veggies and topped w/ homemade dressing. Yum!!

Loaded this up w/ mixed greens, heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, refrigerator pickles, hard boiled egg, broccoli sprouts, avocado, leftover salmon and roasted veggies and topped w/ homemade dressing. Yum!!

My leptin levels tested low so trying to equalize via strategic carb cycling. 
So interesting that after being fat adapted for over 9 months, even 2 days of higher carbs (80-90 g/day) doesn’t really affect me at all. In fact it helps my cravings and hunger levels. But this makes sense due to carbs boosting leptin levels. 
@alimillerrd has helped me learn so much more about healing my body! Much thanks!

Topped this summer salad w/ some rotisserie chicken and homemade dressing for a quick dinner. 
The white stuff is jicama. I love the sweetness and crunch and at only 5 net carbs for a whole cup, it’s very keto/low carb friendly. I often use it as my “chip” for guacamole! It’s loaded w/ potassium and fiber! Give it a try sometime.

Reverse seared this local grassfed ribeye! Only my 3rd time trying reverse searing a steak and I have to say - it’s the best tasting method! I just wish I always had the time. Look at that fat! Soooo freakin awesome.

The banana added just a hint of sweetness w/o non-caloric sweeteners (which I’ve been trying to minimize lately). These have very Keto friendly macros and the perfect muffin consistency. I used 5 eggs, vanilla extract instead of almond and about 1/4 cup of tigernut flour in place of some almond flour b/c I was short. Still worked beautifully. Thx Ali for a great muffin recipe! Perfect for a Sat morning!

What I love about a Whole Foods based approach to Keto is that there is no “failing” or “falling off the diet”. If u slip one day, you just pickup the next day and get back to your low carb approach. It’s not a diet, it’s a sustainable lifestyle and one that has helped me heal my body in ways I couldn’t imagine. 
I think Keto sounds intimidating to folks but it’s super simple if you eat a #wholefoodsketo diet. Fat, Veggies, Meat! It’s really that simple. And what is there to loose by trying? Some nagging health issues? Those hangry episodes? Crazy hormone issues? Low energy slumps after meals?
Since going Keto I’m even down to HALF my thyroid medicine dose!
Maybe it can help you too. But you will never know unless u try!

Not sure if that was the issue but my digestion is totally off since this meal. Meh. Should have stayed strong. Usually I sneak in my own pork rinds for chips but I was unprepared. Such is travel. 
I did climb over 3,000 ft on my bike today tho. So I’ll just make tomorrow a new day. 😊

Such an easy #ketotravel food or even #ketobackpacking food!  Sometimes I put a single serving in a baggie and just add hot water for an easy breakfast at work - it doesn’t really need to boil, just add hot water and let sit for a few mins to thicken.

I am learning to appreciate and enjoy my food because let’s be honest, most people in our world don’t have access to rich, healthy, nourishing foods. 🥗

We are so rich, y’all, we have 2 cars, a house, and the knowledge to eat healthy food that fuels our body! That’s richer than 99% of the world! 😳

So God is showing me instead of rushing and eating my food fast, I should chew longer, savor the food, enjoy cooking it, and be super grateful for being able to nourish and fuel my family well. 🙌🏻💪🏻🧠 We are the sickest country in the world, we spend the most money on healthcare in the world but still the sickest 🧐☹️ So let’s start with diet. Honestly how many Drs first ask what you eat? I bet 9/10 don’t, but the root cause starts with food.
