I don’t even have words about the last three days... my husband left for a conference, I took my youngest to an appointment for a wheeze, and two emergency rooms, an ambulance ride, & emergency surgery later a tiny piece of apple was removed from his lung. (He’s great now & recovering well!) I was anguished & fearful in the moments, but I realize there are a thousand ways God was looking out for us & protecting us through it all. We’re not promised anything in this life, and we never know what tomorrow will hold, but if you’re ever in a place where you need to talk or want someone to pray for you, PLEASE reach out. Life is hard, but it’s a lot easier when we’re all in it together! ❤️

For lunch I rolled up some leftover roast, provolone, and @traderjoes horseradish aioli in half a @cutdacarb and toasted in a little butter. First time trying these, they are super good! Wafer thin and the crisp on them when toasted is fantastic. #keto#ketodiet#ketolunch#lchf#lowcarb
My desk lunch picture made me realize that I needed to clean my desk...pretty messy back there by my monitor. Anywhoooo, in doing so I found the best office post-it’s ever!! I really should have utilized these this week, they would have been perfect for my mood. 👌🏼👌🏼

Det smager stadig godt og Liva var VILD med det👏🏼 Oliver knap så begejstret, men han er også en kræsen teenager🙄
Brystet var købt som sprængt, så det blev sat over kog med løg, gulerødder, pastinak og et bundt oregano og rosmarin. Skummet blev taget fra med en ske og så skruede jeg ellers ned for varmen og gav det 2 timer under låg. Brystet var på knap 1kg.
I mosen har jeg halv brok og halv grøn blomkål, buko flødeost og økologisk smør, salt og peber.
Sovsen er godt nok lavet med en ske mel, men det må man gerne herhjemme🙈
Ellers er der masser af smør, eddike, Sukrin, væde fra gryden med Brystet og en smule salt og peber👈🏼
I clarify butter myself, sometimes the butter is homemade, sometimes not, but I love to make household staples myself because it’s usually easy.
In this case: melt butter, skim, strain, GHEE.
I also make my own broth, tallow, cleaning solutions, pickles, beauty products, etc.
Because wholesome handmade things are important to me, and I want to be self sufficient in a modern world.
All of these things are easy to create, it just takes a little bit of time and a bit of waiting, like most good things.
Break yourself of the habit of only doing things the easy or convenient ways, you’re shorting yourself and nutrition wise, probably not getting all the bounty out of your food you could be.
Experiment and have fun, learn a new skill, it pays off when you know how to make the best real pickles compared to the fake vinegar store bought stuff.
I could cook and take pictures of food all day. These are another Keto recipe I’m trying this week. Keto cheddar biscuits a recipe from Pinterest! @isavea2z put this recipe up and they look delicious! @thepioneerwoman has my favorite plates and towels for colors. Can’t wait to dig into one of these today to enjoy a “biscuit” on my diet🤤😉🥰🥳🤩
