Everyone so sad bout this rappers dying like he did anything for the world 😑 any death is sad but people die everyday don’t nobody give a fuck🤷🏽♀️ dude got some ugly hair and pencil crayon on his face everyone is so sad like he was they bestie 🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ Truthfully I never heard his music nore do I want to but I did try to research if he did anything for the world with his fame and money and just like I thought, he hasn’t just a bunch of fake saying he’s gonna do stuff to get more fame and attention of the backs of shouting charity work never did shit except a give few instruments to a school or something if that’s even true. Meanwhile at the Central American border all the people that come to America and slave doing shit ass jobs Americans don’t wanna do are being torn away from their children and locked up like animals, not many seem to care that much. My heart is broken to see this going on people that probably make just as much money as an Uber driver are enforcing laws for a few dollars, altering people’s lives forever for a dollar. Where is your conscience ? These are human beings, kids! I can’t handle it my insides are boiling, please if you know someone that really needs help before going to the border if you have family going to the border please tell them not to go to The US, if you know a family struggling in need please contact me, don’t know what I can do I’m not rich and I am in Canada but I want to help however I can. This is a huge attack against all of our human rights honestly I’m ready to break those cages down and set people free. Can we all go there and free these people? We need to do something who else is gonna stop this ?? Roberto (not his real name) is a Mam Native from the western highlands of Guatemala where his family grows potatoes. “It’s so cold up there, nothing grows. Potatoes only,” he said. He borrowed money from 3 family members in the U.S. to pay $2,000 to cross into Mexico and $12,000 to cross into the U.S. Since being in the U.S., he’s paid back his debt, plus interests, working as a mushroom picker and salal harvester. He also bought 2 acres of land in Guatemala, where he plans to return in a couple of years and grow potatoes. He was arrested during the 2016 morel season and spent 9 months incarcerated until he paid a $10,000 bail.
Up on the Mountain is a film about emerging and resilient cultures. In the case of the Mam pickers, it’s a story of how indigenous people survive colonialism. The U.S. dumps subsidized agricultural products in poor countries, making it impossible for these people to sell their own products. They then have to sell their land and move to urban centers, where U.S. manufacturing companies will hire them as underpaid labor so that U.S. consumers can keep buying cheap goods. Or, like Roberto and hundreds of other Mam mushroom pickers, whose people have been in North and Central America for at least 2,600 years, they try to find another way out. Like the wild mushrooms they harvest, they won’t be colonized so easily.
