Life is a road that’s always under construction.
There are no directions. No one knows what they’re doing. No one has it all figured out. We are all just making it up as we go.
You are not behind, the road you will take will be built as you go.
I remember this night three years ago. It was an unseasonably warm December evening, which I was more than okay with. 😊 When I first moved to Connecticut the year before, I was nervous about how to get to and around NYC, (even though one of the reasons I’d moved to CT was to be near NYC!) It was a couple months before my husband and I started exploring the City, and figuring out what it was like driving there (and East Coast driving was something crazy for me) and where to find free parking (my husband is the best at this) and how the train works and how to figure out the subway system. Eventually I gained enough confidence to go there by myself, both by train and car, I even got a job there for a while, and one of my proudest moments was the night I successfully parallel parked by myself in Manhattan! So if you want to go somewhere new, no matter how intimidating, just try it, you might learn a lot and gain some self-confidence along the way. As a small town girl, I never pictured myself being so comfortable and confident getting around a big city, but I’m grateful life led me here.
Nine people from all different backgrounds and cities meet in Greece for the first time... We reunite in Nashville 3 months later. All I can say is wow, my heart is so full ❤️ Thank you all for such a great trip, until we see each other again!! #nashville#nashbash#mytraveltribe
Take the journey to enjoy the view! When in New York take the ferry to enjoy scenic views of the skyline. You can take the free Staten Island Ferry or like I did on this picture, take the east river ferry. Even if it is not free of charge, but rather than taking the underground subway (both same price – $2.75) into Queens, to get the best views and probably to find things to do in Queens for the day, I suggest that you take the ferry from the NYC East River into Long Island City or Astoria Queens, since it is super affordable and you can get incredible shots, especially on a beautiful day. Have you ever been to Queens, New York? I lived in Astoria, Queens for over 10 years. One of my favorite neighborhoods in NYC!

Holiday season has officially arrived with Ivy!
As a true latina you all should know that I struggle to find the perfect dress and perfect sala look (living room look) for family parties. Thanks to @shapermint for giving me the perfect shaper for dresses like this and tights to kept me warm!!
Okay story time! This day was the 2nd time trying to get a shot here, I am not a pro at night Photoshoot and the first shot I realized it was too grainy so we went back the next day and just tried again and guess what?! We got the shot! Not one but two! This comes to show to never give up & just keep practicing. You will eventually get there!
P.S. It was freezing this day!! People were literally giving me the she’s cray cray look!
When in doubt, post both! 😅Which one do you like more, 1 or 2? 🤔✨ One of the things I love about living in big cities is the amount of activities, events and happenings all the time!
No pude decidirme y publique las dos! 🙊 🤷🏻♀️ Cual les gusta mas? 📷 1 o 2.... Una de las cosas por las que me encanta vivir en las capitales, son todos los eventos que hay siempre y que suelen ser gratuitos! 💯
Ayer fui a este mercadito navideño organizado por @nlvogue ✨🎄
ONE OF THE REASONS I LOVE TO TRAVEL ✨
You know how you can sometimes “love” a certain kind of food but then you have it in the actual country and it’s like whoa, I really LOVE this food?! 😍
That’s how I feel about Mexican food. Like yeah you can find a really good restaurant that offers good quality tacos, but when you go to Mexico City and you have someone make the tortilla for your Huarraches right in front of you and then you see it all come together. That’s a new type of appreciation for the food you’re about to eat
What are some of your favorite foods you’ve tried in your travels?
Feeling obsessively grateful today as I reflect on 2018 & count my blessings ✨This year I got to cross off a big bucket-list goal of backpacking across Europe with my bff! I’m looking through all my pictures and I still can’t believe I got to experience all these amazing new places I always dreamt about. I learned so much and made unforgettable memories. But above all, I was reminded of how much bigger I can dream. ☁️✨ 📸 credz: @madelynsalinas
