Today is 90 days until I fly to Tanzania, so here is the very first picture I ever took of the African continent. Somewhere over Egypt at that point. Having seen this desert a few times, I can say with some authority that it is big AF! Lots of sand.
Today's word is #safari We tend to think of a game drive when we say safari, driving around African plains and forests to see animals. Safari actually means a trip to journey. So any traveling can be a safari. Nilisafari Tanzania mwezi was kumi. I will travel to Tanzania in October (lit. the 10th month).

Our goals for Summer camp are pretty simple: (1) become mentors to the youth volunteers, who in turn become mentors to the children (2) create friendships that last beyond one week and (3) learn about Sikhi in an engaging and fun atmosphere.
The trusting bond created between the students and instructors allowed us to hear some of their stories on bullying and teasing. This lead the SACH team to start a plan to advocate for these kids- by taking active roles in school board committees, read Sikh stories to young kids in school, and start spreading Sikh awareness in the surrounding community.
This is the first year since initiating the Summer Sikhi camp program that we did not have camp due to a lack of volunteers and instructors...but we miss these little faces so much!
내일은 아이토키 수업 하기 전에 이거 다 복습해야겠다! ㅎㅎ 할.. 수 있게지?^^;
요즘 복습 잘 하고 있어서 괜찮을 것 같다!
I'll try to review all of this before my Italki session tomorrow! I can totally do that.. right?^^;
I'm doing a lot of reviewing lately so I think I can remember most of the words. It'll be fine!

Japanese learning for today, really hounding in the difference between は and が using @japaneseammo_misa ‘s awesome lessons, they’re so useful and she teaches how she REALLY speaks, while also providing what you would probably find in a Japanese textbook, so glad to get to sit down and study Japanese again after a while
