Captured by Steve Lewis whilst performing a D5 body roll test. Reviews maintain the 5 has more roll than its main rivals, the Q7 and X5. That maybe so but it's the only one built as a hard-core off-roader, with travel, clearance and an actual 7 seater - it can only be compared against a Land Cruiser and possibly the XC90 in my eyes as the LC & Ovlov are the only other 4x4's that could hope to scrape into the D5's league, everything else is a car with 4x4 (the RR is another league, of its own and, Wrangler and Defender are like putting the RRC against the L405 in this instance). And yes, the 5 is hard-core. Traditional looks do not make a vehicle the best off-road, they are looks. Besides, the roll I encountered was near zero in comparison to the D3. I was chucking it around the Welsh and Scottish B roads with the greatest of ease. I knew it was exceptional on the road within the first few miles of my maiden drive but one has to demonstrate findings to camera.
Finally I own a galvanized bulkhead 😁... I did the welding by myself and I’m very happy with the results. Still learning though 💪🏻This will be going on my first Land Rover. It is 1967 series II a petrol, I got it when I was 13 years old in 2011 and I’m rebuilding slowly.. swipe to see photos of the car 🤠 #galvanized#landroverseries#firstcar#landroverlove#landroverphotoalbum
