While I’m stepping away from the construction of my eshop, I can’t help but play with clay!
I am trying some new cuts on a lamp shade and with this comes a new question: what can I do with all these bits? (Aka I don’t like to recycle and wedge so I do my best to avoid it!)
I am thinking about a few necklaces...what do you guys think? Did I mention that this clay will fire black?! 😁
Have a nice Sunday! 😘😘😘
Hey Save the Date everyone! We have organised a fabulous workshop in collaboration with @3chooks and @hudsonstreethum to create a gorgeous lampshade using our Marimekko Fabric. The workshop is on Sunday 23rd September 2pm - 5pm at Hudson Street Hums fabulous creative space in Hamilton. It’s going to be great! For bookings jump onto the Hudson Street Hum website xx
Wow! What a spectacular lamp. There is a LOT of colour variation, many shades of blue, purple and green. I'm loving the old fashioned vibes i'm reviving from this image, as if it was a creation of the early 1900's.
for some reason, i don't like the lamp stand. It's just really not doing it for me, it looks veiny and wrinkly, and not a nice colour either. But the lamp shade is stunning, imagine putting this in a dark room and turning it on... What a wonderful sight that would be. It reminds me of a leafy waterfall.

Injune lampshades... we are here as part of the Injune Creative Odyssey which is a two day creative workshop event funded in part by the Regional Arts Development Fund. We have met some wonderful women and had a great day. We have two more sessions tomorrow. These women certainly don’t take for granted the opportunity to get together, enjoy each other’s company and the benefits of getting creative. Many of them have travelled a long way to take part. There is a common thread between all women no matter where they live... they understand the joy that comes from making with your own hands!! -
