Lake Parsippany, NJ. Tuesday, October 16th, 57°. Stumbled upon this spot while getting lost on my way to somewhere else and came back to have a gander. The idea of having TRULY "nature-y spots" in the middle of cities and neighborhoods is still so strange to me. (Also the bird in the 4th photo was MASSIVE, maybe about 2'-3' tall!!) #lakeparsippany#lake#newjersey#eastcoast#nature#autumn
This #tbt or what I like to call #throwbacktransaction goes to a home I sold a few years ago in #LakeHiawatha , Parsippany, NJ.
I met my clients and now good friends, Val and John, at an open house I was hosting one Sunday afternoon in Morris Plains. They walked in and we immediately hit it off! They didn't like that house in particular that day, but we started regularly viewing homes till we found the perfect one for THEM.
We searched for quite some time and then one day the real estate Gods sent this baby to market! Val knew the moment we walked in the front door that this was THE house. After almost a full year of on again - off again searching, we closed at $5k above asking on this gem. Val and John chose to be v aggressive w their offer price which I reinforced because we were up against 2 other offers! And we succeeded!
Lesson: Stick w your clients, especially the loyal ones. Don't get discouraged. This is the nature of the real estate biz. Deals don't happen over night. Remember slow and steady wins the race!
