Day 31 of our U.S. tour (and a little Canada!!)
My last post mentioned taking the #algonac ferry to #Canada . We woke to a broken ferry, so we drive north to #porthuron and took the bridge to Canada instead. Which was fine by me because I was able to check off another Great Lake , #lakehuron which was was on one side of the bridge and lake st. Clair on the other side. Absolutely beautiful! .
The guy at the check station asked Carol twice if she had guns or firearms in the car. Odd, maybe they think everyone who lives in Trump country uses guns. Neck no, man! Peace and love sauce all around! .
Drove south in Canada through thousands upon thousands of GMO crops. It was shocking. Monsanto has his dirty little hands everywhere it seems. We saw ONE organic farm in several hours of driving. .
Arrived at the coast on #lakeeerie . Really beautiful overcast day. Found a perfect picnic spot above the lake and a restroom with a free shower, so we were all over that! .
Met a great lady at the Port Glascow yacht club and she shared many Canadian tidbits with us. This was my first time in canada, but Carol had been to other parts.
More Canada next...
This #UAV photograph was captured off of Hawk Cliff looking over Lake Erie to Port Stanley, Ontario, on August 20th during a video shoot for @con_ont
To get this shot, the UAV was flown at 120m (~400 feet), the maximum altitude permitted. Thanks to stable weather conditions, low winds, and a sunny day, we were able to get some great shots like this stunning photograph!
