Isn’t it crazy how far you’ve came since you’ve started your fitness journey?
We gain SO much from being our best self, showing up when we don’t feel like it, and putting in the effort!
I’m not just talking about the fat loss, number on the scale, the new dress you treated your self to, the compliments, the inches lost....
Those things are great!
We gain a mental boost, we gain endorphins that make us feel like we can take on the world, we gain happiness in our own skin, we gain patience & resiliency, we gain our old self back that we love more than ever! Or we create the best version of ourself. One that blew that old gal’s world up 😏😉
Whether you’re just getting started or you’re on your journey...all of this is coming to you soon!!! Keep it up.
I’m seeking 5 boss babes who want to end this year off RIGHT and start the new year on fiiiire 🙌🏽 If that’s you, link in bio to schedule a call with me. Let’s see if we’re the perf fit 👏🏽👏🏽💋
Maral Cuisine in Agoura Hills
A gem discovered today. We start our experience with their Hummus and pita appetizer and Shirazi Salad 🥗 which I must say was a good start.
For our main entree we ordered their Maral Special, which for two people is pretty hefty already for a very good price I must say. Drizzle it with some Sumac and it's an explosion in your mouth.
Top it off with experimenting with their desserts, they were so nice that they made us try the churros looking dessert, it was really good but it was too #sweet for me. So we got the shaved ice with rose water and noodles, I know it sounds weird but it tastes so good. I will actually come back for more one of these days.
The entire restaurant is very clean and well maintained. Everyone greeted us with a smile and a consistent impeccable customer service was provided for us. For people who doesn't know what persian foods are, don't be scared because they will take their time to explain the food and the menu for you which is a huge plus for me as I am not Persian.
Overall this place is a perfect 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for me.
We’re going to get real for a minute here today, alright? 🤦🏻♀️ This happens all the time: I’m scrolling through Pinterest or Google or wherever, looking for inspiration or reference images, when I see some fan art that catches my eye. But NOT in a good way. I click on the image and sure enough, it’s another example of something I’ve seen hundreds of times, across multiple fandoms—an artist (usually male) has overly sexualized a female character *at the expense of recognizable facial features.* The men in the picture are all easy to identify, and they’re actually very well done, but the woman only resembles her character as far as hair color — her boobs are bigger, her waist is smaller, and you have to squint to imagine she’s whatever character you were expecting to see. The artist has taken whatever strengths and weaknesses and character traits this woman has and reduced her to a sexual object. That *not only* does a disservice to the character, but also to anyone who looks up to that character! And if you ask me, girls and women have enough trouble finding representation in books, movies, media, etc. without fan art MISrepresenting us and saying that we only matter as far as or bodies are concerned. Unfortunately, it’s nothing new, and I don’t really have an immediate solution, but it’s been on my mind recently. And if I wasn’t already making fan art, THIS would get me fired up enough to start, folks 🔥 We need more women creating fan art!
So I guess all that to say: representation matters, CORRECT representation matters, women are more than just their bodies, and I’m going to keep on creating fan art 💪🏻🙌🏻💛
Let me know in the comments below—where would YOU like to see better representation??
I believe in all of my creative, entrepreneurial, and leadership capabilities because God has given me all that I need to accomplish great things in this life ❤️ Throwback to shooting with @fabfighting in 2015 maybe?!
Since I'm so in love with all natural/organic/vegan skin care products ☘️ I have always had problem with choosing the right one that is on mass market especially with such a fast growing list of everything you might need for your daily routine 🤦♀️ My dear friend Alice @alice.kazakov made a cheat-sheet for those who is as lost as me at any beauty store 🙏 Please note, not all products may be a perfect match for your type of skin but each facial products can be switched out with another option for the perfect skin care routine.⠀
It is said that everyone must wash their face two times a day to get any bacteria and sweat off of your face and out of your pores. A cleanser is designed specifically to clean off makeup and dead skin cells, as well as any oil that has build up. Usually used with a toner and exfoliator, using a cleanser can reduce the chances of a sudden breakout of acne and blackheads.⠀
(or just use our soap)⠀
Exfoliators are extremely important when it comes to achieving your perfect skin goals. This absolutely magical product shrinks pore size immensely as it cleans them out. Not only that, but when used once a day, it can make wrinkles and creases less visible.⠀
(or just use our scrub)⠀
Toner is essential to use after washing your face but before moisturizing. It’s almost like an extra step for dry skin and it is used before moisturizing so the cream doesn’t clog the pores once more and absorbs deep to slow oil production. Plus toner is extremely easy to make if you don’t have time to go out and get it! Just get a bottle and mix ⅔ of the bottle of water with ⅓ of apple cider vinegar.⠀
No matter the skin type, everyone must use moisturizer, and not just in the face. Moisturizer is exactly what it sounds like; it moisturizes your skin and keeps it hydrated for longer and in general restores damaged skin.⠀
(or just use our lotion bars)⠀

I used to think essential oils were only for diffusing, and were only used to make the room smell good! This is a great way to replace candles or scentsy with something nontoxic but theres so much more to it →
I have come a LONG WAY since then. I use them for everything: sleep, relaxation, to support my immune system and health. And I use them in ways that dont include the diffuser. I make my own room sprays, I have a bunch of roller bottles each with their own purpose. We take less medication now, and instead reach for an oil first. I've used them to help my pets. My health has improved, I'm much happier, and I've switched out so many toxic products from my home and replaced them with essential oil based options.
Toxic products have been known to interfere with our hormones & our health. Nobody wants that. If you're interested in getting your wellness journey started, I suggest getting this kit right here 👆🏻 and I'd love to help you get started. I have a couple on hand and can deliver it right to you if you're on the island ❤

Life to me isn’t about what most people want. I want enlightenment and knowledge. I want peace of mind. I want to see the world, help the world. Back in July I had made a promise to myself that in November I would start really doing this. .
Here I am looking for new job opportunities that will better suit what I am seeking. Searching plane tickets to go travel the world. Heck even considering just volunteering for a few months in another country. My soul and mind are telling me this is what I need to do.
I am freaken scared. I’ve never really been sure of a lot of things in life. But this feels right. I have been so blessed this year. Even though there have been a lot of downs. I have fallen even more in love with my relationship and my man. I am so close to being done with school. I have a pretty great job. We are human and change is constant. Change is good. So here is to taking a big ass leap of faith and see where the heck i end up next! Cheers to that 🍾🍾
Time for a little joke!!! There's nothing like a little stress reliever of a little joke to relax. This week we have 6 kids and 6 adults all under our roof. It's great fun, but jokes sure do help the days go quickly. Who are you inviting for Thanksgiving dinner?
This joke by Scott Nickel was just the perfect addition to our family fun!
#WomenWhoHustle ... Belief is more powerful than what we wish for, hope for, or dream of because we become what we believe. It takes great faith and fearlessness to believe, especially in yourself. What do you need to make this happen? #DoTheWork 👀
Say hey to our new @lystedapp boss @ohhhchelsea. Chelsea is a photographer, editor, connector, and all around people person out of Austin, TX. She's most passionate about helping others see the beauty in their own lives, a good cup of coffee, and a great slice of pizza. When she's not answering emails, she's editing pieces for Pass/Fail, hosting networking events, and shooting and editing photographs for incredible companies both in Austin and elsewhere. So, if that’s the kinda service you’re looking for, make sure you check out her profile to learn more about how you can work with her!
We often come up with sooo many excuses why we can’t do something or are to busy to do them.👊🤨
Funny thing is that when they are a priority we always make them work so wouldn’t it just be as easy to make things a priority? 😁💓☕️

Today I caught an episode of @alora.rachelle ‘s podcast on grief. .
It may have been a coincidence, but her words were speaking so much volume to me. It’s almost like she was talking to me because her situation is almost parallel to my current season. .
I suddenly, unexpectedly lost my grandmother, my best friend. It was one of the and still is one of the hardest things I’ve had to deal with. Now I am not posting this for y’all to feel sorry because life happens. .
I am posting this because one of the things Alora said was that grief has its stages and it takes time. But we shouldn’t wait for something like this to happen in order to be present in life. As I’ve been in grief I’ve stepped away from my phone more. I’ve been more present with my family. Don’t wait, and embrace the time you have with the people you love while they’re still here.❤️
When I was 19, I was involved with a symphony orchestra in White Plains, NY. I was a college student, going to classes all day, then on rehearsal nights, I rushed from class to practice. I often had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as I ran out the door. I noticed that I frequently, if not always, had a stomach ache while commuting to rehearsal. At the time, I thought it was just my stomach, my body. I commuted with a friend, and it was embarrassing because I always felt gassy and bloated in the car. I’d feel tired and sluggish during rehearsal, and the stomach cramping persisted. I didn’t feel confident about being around people, sitting in close quarters and playing my clarinet.
Fast forward a decade, after getting no help from western medicine with my gut and skin issues, I become really interested in food as medicine, and wanted to learn everything I could about healthy living and nutrition. A few years later, I enrolled in a Masters Program in Chinese Medicine. Looking back, it’s clear that the combination of overwork from being a student, running around from place to place, and that peanut butter and jelly sandwich caused me all that gastric upset. From a Chinese Medicine perspective, the combination of wheat, peanuts and jelly were all weakening my Spleen Qi, in addition to being overworked from being a student. The spleen is in charge of taking the nutritive aspect of food, and converting it to a usable form of energy, ‘qi’ that can energize and nourish the body. The PB&J was a trifecta of inflammatory foods for me, and my spleen couldn’t handle it.
Man, I wish I knew at 19 that having a nice bowl of bone broth soup with some root vegetables would stave off all of those horrible digestive issues. I wish I knew about intuitive eating. I think about that 4 month pregnant-looking belly and the acne that doctors claimed food had nothing to do with. I think about the antibiotics I took for the acne that worsened my digestive issues. I think about how all of this lead to worsening my body image issues and self confidence.
I believe Confidence and Wellness is our birthright, and I’m thrilled to be part of this movement!

Throwback to when I was 3 and to yesterday which was National Women’s Entrepreneur Day!
I have always had a very strong spirit. I’ve never been one to take much crap from anyone but always ready to be friends with everyone. I think it’s important to reflect and remember who you truly are. I’ve never been afraid to fail. I always do my best and accept the outcome win or lose. As a woman who has been active in entrepreneurial endeavors this year I would like to discuss what happens when things go wrong. It’s an inevitable part of taking risks which is necessary in any business venture. But sometimes you just do business with the wrong person or pick the wrong project. Unfortunately I made that mistake this year by going into business with a woman from the U.K. who has a very popular plasma skin tightening company. As the relationship proceeded there were red flags. She spent more time trying to figure out how to take down her competition then she did on growing her business in an ethical way. Inevitably my partner and I had over $18k stolen from us by this woman. Did I mention she’s a millionaire? Plus she refused to pay us for about $50k of work. 😣 The difficult part is seeing this woman partner with other people in the U.S. knowing what she will do to them. So what do we do? Learn a very expensive lesson for one.☝🏽Do we lose hope? NO! Do we believe all people do business this way? NO! Will we be more careful before entering business relationships again? YES! Part of taking risks and trying is failing and even forgiving.✌🏽Even when the person isn’t sorry! That might be the hardest part. Some times bad people are successful which can be disheartening. The important part is that YOU do good, work hard, be kind and give back. Even if all you can give at the moment is advice on what NOT to do. 🙃 I know a lot of amazing lady bosses out there who are killing it! Good human beings who are changing the world. To all my fellow women entrepreneurs with integrity and things didn’t go as planned...don’t lose heart! Remember who you are! A bad ass little girl who grew up and wants to make the world a better place! 💪🏽🌎💋
My Instagram posts have been sporadic at best but this little one has been keeping me busy! I cannot believe this girl has already been in our lives for one month 〰️ it’s crazy how time seems to drag at moments (especially during those middle of the night feedings) but also go by in the blink of an eye. Here’s hoping she stays tiny and wants to snuggle in my arms forever 🤞🤞🤞
