A bit of rainy day self-study. 
These are the eight limbs of Yoga. 
In Yoga it can be a misconception that we need to struggle to make ourselves ‘become better’ in order to be a yogi. But we don’t need to ‘try’ to follow them as a rule book, like some commandments for wrong and right.. they are just naturally occurring along the path of your own personal practice of self-study. 
We let the mind ease up on the rules and expectations we set for ourselves, and just get up and do our practice of being with ourself everyday. 
First we may notice our breath, and then let it move the body, and sooner or later we might start to notice the struggles our mind creates for ourselves that don’t actually exist. And more and more we notice these struggles re-occurring like patterns over days, weeks, months, years - at so at the same time - our perceptions of our reality start to shift.. Gradually with no force things like our attitudes to others and ourselves just shift, we find more contentment in simple things and basically life just feels a whole lot easier and clearer. 
Our mind can relax. 
And so can our body. There doesn’t need to be a struggle. 
We realise we are perfectly ok just as we are.

Some thoughts about sensitivity... …there’s plenty of good things about being sensitive, yet also some less fancy ones. In my experience, sensitivity and creativity walks hand in hand. It's like sensitivity expands the unnecessary boundaries build by the mind. Sensitivity keeps us close to our heart, close to gentleness and softness, as well as to joy of living and peace. We feel a little bit more, see the inbuilt miracles in small things, like a flower or the laughter of a child. 
On the other hand, being sensitive can sometimes become challenging, when your own heart senses everything so freakin' intensely. You don’t only feel your own emotions, you feel everyone elses too, through your own body. And it becomes a bit overwhelming from time to time. If you feel like spending time alone to recharge, do it if you can, or spend time in nature.

However, personally, wouldn’t change a single day. Would you? Sensitivity is a part of who I am. It is the door to intuition, to the ability to see deeper into the heart of an other person. Also to feel the inner guidance that stems from the heart. ***I’m very curious to know, what is your experience about sensitivity? Has it changed over the years? ***

Yoga Makaranda🌳Практика асан улучшает кровообращение. В совершенстве, на наилуч-
шем уровне, будут функционировать как связки (снайю), так и различные части тела. Благодаря практике будет нормально работать кровоо-
бращение всех видов, какие есть в организме. Нам всем хорошо известно, 
как взаимосвязаны здоровье системы кровообращения и системы нади и грантх, а также здоровое тело и хорошее здоровье в целом. Поэтому-то 
не нужно дополнительно расписывать преимущества, которые получат те, что практикует асаны хотя бы по несколько минут в день. Что же еще 
требуется, кроме того, что уже указано? По достижении этих результатов можно и в дальнейшем надеяться на получение других положительных 
эффектов. Практика пранаямы способствует укреплению костей, костного мозга и 
сердца. Благодаря пранаяме развиваются: мозг, голова, анна-майя-коша (физическое тело) и мано-майя-коша, дыхательная мускулатура и прана. 
Пранаяма также способствует долголетию, обостряет чувства, усиливает интеллект и голос, очищает кровь. Все это важные факторы, необходимые 
для поддержания здоровья. Тех, у кого крепкие кости, высокая жизнеспособность, крепкие нервы и сухожилия, ждет здоровая долгая жизнь. 
Отсутствие или слабость вирьи приводит к недостаточной прочности и в дальнейшем — атрофии костей. В таком состоянии человек заболеет ту-
беркулезом костей. Тот, у кого кровь не содержит загрязнений, никогда не 
заболеет, а его тело словно излучает сияние. Как тьма может быть там, где 
светит солнечный свет? Во всех текстах по аюрведе ясно говорится о важ-
ности хорошего кровообращения и прочности костей для крепкого здо-
ровья. Если кровь загрязнена, то система нади и чакр не будет должным 
образом функционировать (вращаться). Мы все видели колеса поездов, 
электрических устройств и машин. Если хоть одно колесо неисправно, то 
вся машина прекращает работу, устройство выходит из строя. Аналогич-
ным образом, когда один из элементов системы нади и чакр, которые есть 
в теле, работает
неправильно, испорчен, мы не сможем воспользоваться 
преимуществами, которое сулит нам хорошее здоровье. Поэтому здоровое

Every great story has a beginning. Behind me, the amazing Mysore Palace. If we had to put a place of birth to the current Yoga that we practice today, this would be that place. Within the walls of this palace, the great master Tirumalai Krishnamacharya began to impart Ashtanga Yoga after his retirement and study of almost 8 years with Rama Mohan Bramacharya, of which there is not much information. At one of the numerous exhibitions directed by Krishnamacharya that took place in the palace, a 12-year-old boy came to see it and was so amazed that the next day he showed up to start studying with such an incomparable teacher. That child was Sri K Pattabhi Jois. Also a well Know students of Krishnamacharya were B.K.S. Iyengar, Indra Devi and Desycachar ( one of his son ) So the great the influence of this teachers nowadays is due the figure of Krishnamacharya. //// Toda gran historia tiene un comienzo. Or not to act at all. Just observing. Watching what is happening on the stage of life in and around you knowing it's not you. Knowing the difference between the Observer and the observed. #netineti

That little step is followed by the next. Once again. Once again you don't get trapped in automatic behavior. You stay more rooted and grounded and calm within your self. You discover yourself. Your true self. #atman

The days and weeks and years pass. What seemed to you impossible has long become normality. What seemed miraculous is now friend. And as time goes by you realise anything is possible. #anythingispossible.

UT è una particella che significa decisione, intensità. Il verbo TAN significa tendere, estendere, allungare. 
In questo Asana si tende la colonna vertebrale intensamente.

I benefici di questa posizione  sono:
- allunga e distende tutta la parte posteriore del corpo.
- allunga la parte frontale.
- rinforza i muscoli della schiena.

Ha sido un día muy intenso en el curso de Vinyasa Krama con Ramaswami en Irlanda. .
En todas las formaciones con Ramaswami, los domingos se hacen 32 saludos al sol acompañados del canto del Arunam del Yajur Veda, entonados por el maestro. Es una experiencia para vivirla. .
Después hemos hecho una hora de pranayama. Y por la tarde ha dado una charla sobre el yoga para los órganos internos y hemos practicado la secuencia de pascimottanasana o estiramiento posterior sentado. .
Estoy agotada pero agradecida. 😊🙏

I took a beautiful walk this evening at sunset on the beach. I’m in the middle of training with Srivatsa Ramaswami who is on his first visit to Ireland. He is a direct student of the legendary Krishnamacharya.  He is also the longest standing student outside the master’s own family. He commenced studies with his Guru at the tender age of 15 and studied  extensively with him for over thirty four years until Sri T. Krishnamacharya’s passing.  Srivatsa Ramaswami remains a faithful disciple to his Guru to this day and has made it his life’s work to propagate the ancient yoga teaching, lineage and methods as transmitted exactly to him. So I’m so grateful to be having this experience and to be able to develop my own practice and knowledge more. Still on my supposed break from social media but just wanted to share this. It is rare these days to have access to a teacher of this calibre who is so close to the authentic, traditional teachings and I’m loving every minute of it. #vinyasakrama #grateful #yoga #yogateacher #vinyasa #asana #pranayama #meditation #chanting #relax #krishnamacharya #namaste

Workshop Petri Räisänen - oktober 2018

Tijdens deze 4-daagse workshop hebben de studenten onder leiding van Petri hun practice verdiept tijdens de Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Style classes. Daarnaast was er onder andere ook nog een handbalance workshop, chantclass en is er uitgebreid stil gestaan bij de therapeutisch benadering van adjustments in de yoga-houdingen. De achtergronden van Ashtanga Yoga zijn uitgebreid aan bod gekomen, waaronder de vinyasa’s, de evolutie van de Practice en benaderingswijze door verschillende docenten. Waarbij de slotconclusie misschien wel getrokken mag worden dat we op dit moment zijn uitgekomen bij de essentie van de practice zoals deze zo’n 5000 jaar geleden bedoeld was, zo’n 100 jaar geleden herontdekt is en heden ten dage gedoceerd wordt als Ashtanga Yoga. Dat deze practice ook de afgelopen decennia nog een hele transformatie heeft doorgemaakt wordt duidelijk als Petri spreekt over bijvoorbeeld zo’n 50 handstanden die ooit in de primary series werden uitgevoerd, maar er vandaag de dag geen enkele meer van is overgebleven in deze eerste serie. Alle overdaad is uit de practice gesnoeid, zodat we in de meest pure vorm de practice beoefenen.
