This is a “the more you know” post.
I wanted to say that our exclusion diet was prescribed to us by a dermatologist, which is quite rare. You usually think of people going to a naturopath for these kind of solutions. Why is that?
Diet based solutions are not widely recognized among the medical community- again, why?
We discovered that medical case studies are funded by pharmaceutical companies, a multi billion dollar industry per year. So why would would there be case studies done with natural healing that doesn’t put money in their pocket? This is also why when you google certain things about health related to diet it will say “there’s no science based evidence to prove ____” because that is exactly right- there are no well recognized case studies being tested with food and health.
Our dermatologist admitted that if she were to display this approach in front of her colleagues, that she would be a laughing stalk and no one would respect her.
I’m not saying that prescription drugs aren’t necessary, in many cases they are. I just thought that it is interesting that pushing medication is always the first resort.

SHOCKING EXPERIENCE. So we ordered a Veg pizza as one does from a non-halal franchise place and went to collect it. Came across rude staff who kept me waiting for several minutes - which gave me enough time to observe their working practices. I noticed workers making the dough, putting pepperoni, ham and veg on pizzas all without gloves - yes WITHOUT GLOVES. I saw 5 workers of which only one felt the need to wear gloves when dealing with the pizza orders. I asked about my veg pizza and how it was prepared and if gloves were used (to prevent cross contamination) - they mentioned that they don’t need to wear gloves. One worker than said “to be honest we don’t always wash our hands between orders” and that customers should request for them to wear gloves when they order. Are you bloody serious #%!€😡. Absolutely baffled and shocked to hear this nonsense. I asked about those customers who are vegans/vegetarians or halal/kosher meat eaters who order at their store - surely they want to be reassured that simple measures are taken. But they denied this and said it’s not a policy. I demanded a refund - which they initially agreed but then said only a manger can do it. The manager reluctantly came after several minutes and denied he was the manager at all and merely a ‘shift worker’ and that his manager will come later on -who can issue a refund. Asked for an alternative item instead which was denied also.
I’m furious how in the 21st century we have some cowboys who think it’s normal to not take hygiene and health & safety precautions seriously.
Recently there have been several deaths from allergy related incidents- which possibly could have been prevented from simple measures.
How many vegan/vegetarian or halal/kosher meat eaters must have used this pizza place and are totally oblivious to their shocking practices. Let’s see what @dominos @dominos_uk @foodgov have to say about this BS 🤬[please share] #dominoes#dominoesuk#dominoespizza#hygeine#gloves#pizza#vegan#vegetarian#vegans#healthandsafety#allergies#meat#meatfree#clean#poorservice#unacceptable#pizza#newhamcouncil#tradingstandards#halal#kosher#foodstandardsagency#eastham#newham#muslim
