It’s Day 198 of the Sky Scarf Project. Today started out sunny, very hot, and oppressively humid. The clouds started forming, and before long the thunder clouds were building. While the skies looked ripe for thunderstorms, they held off for the photo window. I knit my four rows in garter stitch, using @redheartyarns Dove Super Saver worsted weight yarn to mirror the building thunderclouds. The clouds have continued thickening, and darkening, and a cooling thunderstorm would really help to cool things off. The seagull winging it’s way home in the Sky photo made me hopeful, but hours later I’m still waiting for that storm to show up.
It’s Day 197 of the Sky Scarf Project. Today started out very foggy, and the fog lingered into the afternoon. It was interesting because the sun broke through in North Weymouth, but fog stayed over the Fore River. At the photo window, we had blue skies with cirrus clouds, in spite of the fog persisting over the water an beyond. Temperatures in the high 70’s, and high humidity, with no breeze to speak of, had it feeling uncomfortable today. I knit my four rows following the pattern first used on rows 102-105 for cirrus clouds. I used @redheartyarns Light Periwinkle Super Saver worsted weight yarn to represent the Sky, and White Super Saver worsted weight yarn to represent the cirrus clouds. While today was very muggy, the fog seems to have staved off the hope of any cooling storms. They are now forecast for tomorrow, after a day of uncomfortable heat and humidity. Here’s hoping those storms materialize tomorrow.
It is Day 196 of the Sky Scarf Project. Today is a sunny day, with temps in the high 70’s, and thin, spotty cirrus clouds. With humidity rising, and barely a hint of a breeze off the ocean, it feels pretty warm. I knit my four rows following the pattern I first used on rows 102-105 for cirrus clouds. I employed @redheartyarns Light Periwinkle Super Saver worsted weight yarn to represent the Sky, and @redheartyarns White Super Saver worsted weight yarn to represent the cirrus clouds. The heat and humidity are supposed to rise, along with temperatures this week, so it looks like the muggy New England weather will be making a return. Have to take the bad with the good, but UGH!
Day 15 #monthofproverbs
I just made my very first juice today using up a bunch of fruits and veggies before they spoiled, and it was delicious! All my life, I have told myself that nutritious foods taste bad and non-nutritious foods taste oh so good. Boy, was I ever so, so wrong. The stories that we allow the enemy to tell us can be harmful to our health.

It’s Day 195 of the Sky Scarf Project. It was a nice day today with sunshine, temperatures in the 70’s, and a refreshing breeze off the water. There were cumulus clouds today, which thickened and should bring rain tonight. I knit my four rows in stockinette stitch following the pattern on chart two for cumulus clouds. I used @redheartyarns Light Periwinkle Super Saver worsted weight yarn to represent the blue sky, and @redheartyarns White Super Saver worsted weight yarn to represent the clouds. The humidity is supposed to increase over the next few days, so it looks like the uncomfortable weather is going to make a return. Here’s hoping it doesn’t last too long.
It is Day 194 of the Sky Scarf Project. Today was yet another beautiful day on the Massachusetts coast, with blue skies, no clouds, low humidity, a breeze off the ocean, and temperatures in the high 70’s. I knit my four rows following the pattern k2, p2 for two rows, then p2, k2 for two rows. I utilized @redheartyarns Light Periwinkle Super Saver worsted weight yarn to represent the blue skies. Today was a tough day, actually made better by dear Maxie, who really seemed to shut down as the day went on. He had steak and eggs for breakfast, which he devoured, and then he just started to fade. It was very hard saying goodbye, but he really let us know it was time to let him go. What an amazing eighteen year old dog he was. What a hole he has left in our hearts. ❤️

It’s Day 193 of the Sky Scarf Project. It is another beautiful day on the Massachusetts coast today! Blue, cloudless skies, temperatures in the low 70’s, low humidity, and a breeze off the ocean has made it another perfect day. I knitted my four rows following the pattern k2, p2 for two rows, then p2, k2 for two rows. I used @redheartyarns Light Periwinkle Super Saver worsted weight yarn to represent the blue skies. This has really been a lovely stretch of weather. Here’s to it continuing for awhile!
I love knitting, I love mugs, K love tea and I like thinking about why tv shows about zombies are unrealistic but at the same time making up my mind about how to survive😂 So I think my friend nailed it with this birthday present! „Knitting is but a hobby, it‘s a postapocalyptic survival skill“ #knitting#knitstagram#knittersofinstgram#zombie#mug#tea#birthdaypresent
It’s Day 192 of the Sky Scarf Project. Although we had thunderstorms overnight, today was a perfect day, with blue skies, cumulus clouds, temperatures in the 70’s at the coast, a sea breeze to keep the temps in check, and low humidity. I’d consider this another perfect day. I knit my four rows In stockinette stitch, following chart 2 for cumulus clouds. Today I used @redheartyarns Light Periwinkle Super Saver worsted weight yarn to represent the Sky, and @redheartyarns White Super Saver worsted weight yarn to represent the cumulus clouds. Today was a difficult day for us. We decided that Maxie (Maximilian), the Bichon Frisée who turned 18 in June, whom I inherited from my Mom, has really declined so much we have to put him down, and we have an appointment for Friday afternoon at the vet. Tonight we took him to Nantasket Beach where he loved to run in his younger days. We are trying to make these last few days as special as we can for him. Tough day.
