This week on The Forum hear the inspirational story behind Washington Street Productions in Red Bluff and how buying products like these can change someone’s life. #kixetv#redbluff#tehamacounty#manufacturing @thesocialifediaries @christylargent
Another day taping Season 10 of The Forum 🎥 with @thesocialifediaries Ashlee Tate. 🎥
I was going to share a shot of me behind our interview desk, but this picture was so inspiring I had to share!
Jennifer Soto @jennysoto04 is a nation champion wrestler. 🤼♀️ At only 14 years old, she has won a championship both as a middle school (boys and girls compete) athlete, as well as high school at the state and national level. This girl understands hard work and commitment. Her goal is the 2024 Olympics. 🤼♂️🥇🏆
I was both inspired and convicted. 🏅
I’m curious: what about her story do you find the most compelling? That’s she’s a girl doing this? Or that she’s doing this at all?
Have you ever wondered what you look like on the big screen?
Today was the first day of filming for Season 10 of our local PBS show, The Forum. I co-host with @thesocialifediaries Ashlee Tate and we interview interesting people doing interesting things. It’s super fun! 🎉
What you see here, are clips from our interview with Jon Richards of SETI, which is the Search for Extraterrestrials Institute. He is really interesting and they have a huge facility near us with a large array of 20’ wide listening scopes pointed into space...listening for life beyond our solar system. Fascinating! Look at my Instastories for all of today’s behind the scenes. .
But what I want to share with you is the back story to this picture. .
You see, when I went to college, I went to study broadcasting. I wanted to do a morning show like Jane Pauley and Dianne Sawyer. (Dating myself😊). I wanted to be the cheerful face and voice that got everyone’s day off to a happy start. 🌇. But about a year into college, I let someone I admired talk me out of that dream, and I thought it was lost for good. .
Fast forward many years later, and this opportunity at our local PBS station unfolded for me. 🎉 .
And even though it’s not a National morning show, and it is just a volunteer activity I work around my speaking business, I do love it and I do have the opportunity to bring some joy and positivity into people’s life via the TV. .
So I guess you could say, I’m living my dream!🤗
So please, don’t give up on your dream! Keep your eyes open and keep looking for your opportunity. It might be just around the corner. 😊
Tell me, what is your secret dream? Is there something you longed for that hasn’t happened yet? Or has? Either way, I’d love to hear all about it!
