[non paid advertising\link] A PERFECT COZY SUNDAY AFTERNOON (at least for today) is made of selfmade waffles or cake plus my favorite seasonal fruits and some rest in order to recharge for the new week to come. I‘m in love with figs - yummy in porridge, on waffles or cake. Give me fresh figs and I am happy 😋 ... well, it surely takes a bit more but you know what I mean. 😉
What fruit or what cake makes you happy for a moment?
Would love to get inspired about new combinations and recipes ... 😍
Have a lovely Sunday evening! 💕

Habt nen wundervollen Sonntagabend! 💕

Last night I experimented with tomatillo soup and I’m questioning myself for never doing so before 🤨. This was soooo easy! Step 1: Broil tomatillos with jalapeño for about 5 minutes. Step 2: while they are broiling sauté chopped sweet white onion and garlic in Spanish (or regular) evoo. Once translucent add white beans (cooked) and 2 cups of vegetable stock. Bring to s boil. Step 3: remove tomatillos and peppers from broiler. Place in an immersion blender and purée. Add purée to soup base. Step 4: spray a tortilla wrap with the same olive oil and coat with cumin. Cut into strips and place in the oven st 350 to make tortilla strips. Step 5: pull out the crispy strips, stop your stove, and serve! I topped my soup with cilantro, chopped avocado, @tofuttibrands vegan sour cream, the juice of a lime (1 lime per serving) and the tortilla strips- which were huge but delicious. Yum! 😋...
I’ve shared a few before and after’s of my kitchen… but here is another angle of where I took out the pony wall from the living room into the kitchen. It really helped to open up the space. I also turned the island. This was the first house that I bought that I remodeled the kitchen before moving in. I would never want to live through that again! 😂
