My 6AM view! Early mornings have a completely different energy to the rest of the day. It's incredible to witness and amazing how waking up with the sun restores you and creates room for a better perspective towards the whole day ahead. ☀️ #myview#risewiththesun#sunsalutation#kirstenbosch
Who knows what birds are pictured here?
Whilst having the obligatory pre-Christmas clear out, I came across my ticket into Kirstenbosch Gardens in Cape Town from this exact time last year.
An important botanical garden nestled in the slopes of Table Mountain, it’s regarded as one of the greatest in the world.
It’s home to over 7000 species of plants from Southern Africa and so naturally, we also saw lots of beautiful wildlife like these two.
It’s so grand, no one image could do it justice but I love the colours here and the combination of flowers, mountains, trees and greenery.
If you have the chance to go, pack a picnic and make a day of it - the Estate is 528 hectares in total and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, so not one to be rushed!
The "Boomslang" (meaning tree snake), formally known as the Tree Canopy Walk at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, is a low-maintenance, low-impact sculptural raised walkway that brings you to the top of the trees to see this view of Table Mountain's southern side as well as the Garden and Cape Flats. You simply cannot miss visiting this Garden and taking a stroll along the Boomslang!

TB to the beautiful botanical garden in Cape Town. The paradise bird flower also known as Strelitzia are my all time favorites.
Nelson Mandela helped planting these beauties. What a magical place.
