Love this take on an end of year reflection! My little friends enjoyed the craft and were really engaged in discussion about all the things they have accomplished in their first year of school. Thanks for the great resource @miss_b_insta
The learning and teaching of reading comes with a host of complex jargon and for many this is a source of confusion.
If you are not too sure about how to tell a grapheme from a phoneme? And what are digraphs? Where do they fit into teaching reading? Check out our short series of posts starting today. LINK IN BIO
Look we all made it into a picture outside of the house! I’m calling it a win! Tucker’s kindergarten Christmas concert was quite different from his preschool’s, but I’m a sucker for adorable little humans attempting anything in sync with one another. Excellent entertainment. 🙌🏽I love these growing boys, though I wish they’d slow down and stay small a while longer♥️ @1samuel17.36 #momlife#boymom#family#spokanefamily#christmasconcert#kindergarten
Today was Lincoln’s last day of Kindergarten 🥺🥰🔤1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ . .
My little mate had his last day of kindergarten, he sang a song in assembly, got to wear his Chrissy clothes Aunty Leanne got him and they had a party☺️. .
He started off the year as one of the youngest and shyest in his class, still the youngest but my oath, he speaks 🙌🏾 and SO MUCH better (it’s something we are working on still) he is more confident, has made so many new friends his own age, even had a gf at one point 🙊, can write his own name, count to 25, count back from 15 and draws me the best pictures EVER 😁 I’m sssoooo glad he has enjoyed school this year but it’s no thanks to his AMAZING Teacher Miss Maddie Noye, I thank for her EVERYTHING she has taught Lincoln and also bringing him out of his shell a little (was starting to worry he wasn’t my kid cause we all out there 🙊) and also a huge thanks to Angela, the times he has fallen over and he wanted a hug or just when he needed some reassurance you was there ☺️ .
You ladies are the best and I wish Lincoln could do prep, grade 1, 2, 3 etc with you both!!!! Good luck to Maddie, a year off to have her second baby! But I’m so glad you made Lincoln first year at school fun and rewarding 🙌🏾🥰 .
A few weeks ago Anna went on a field trip to the Tulsa Children’s Museum. I was really bummed that I couldn’t go with her this time, but I am forever grateful for my awesome mom friends who sent me pictures of her throughout the day. It made my day and my mom guilt a little easier knowing she was having a good time. And hers as well because she was so happy to show me everything she learned. Thank you to @cassierose22 and to Kandice Anderson for helping this momma out. Lesson: Moms help other moms out. We all need it sometimes. Even if it’s just a small gesture like sending a picture of their children to their mother while they are stuck at work. It truly touches your heart. ❤️ #momshelpingmoms#tulsachildrensmuseum#fieldtrip#kindergarten#kindergartenlife#tulsa#oklahoma
Parents guilty of putting their head down to check social media, send a few texts or read their emails have been shamed by a new report, which says their digital addiction is causing big problems for their children.
The report, which was launched on Tuesday by the Queensland government, reveals that thousands of kids across the state are stressed by school work and crave extra attention from parents, who are often consumed in their phone.
The landmark survey, which spoke with 7000 children aged between four and 18, shows far too many kids are feeling ignored by their parents because of their technology use.
According to the study, the vast majority of what child participants told the survey is that they are wanting "adults to pay attention, have respectful conversations, and listen to what they have to say about the things important to them". What do you think about this new trend?
