Often, in playgrounds, I’m reminded that the boys don’t have friends 🙁
The friends they had when we left our last home in Houston will not be in our next home, wherever that will be.
Then I realize that these boys are happy and that despite being together 24/7 are the best of friends!
I’m hoping that in years to come they look back on these pictures together and they talk about how their crazy accountant parents took them to some brilliant places! **************************************************************************************** Drive through the 2nd longest road tunnel in NZ to get to this gorgeous town, Lyttelton.
During the 2010/2011 earthquakes many of the old buildings were destroyed so the town now has many shipping container shops and new shops and cafes.
It’s also a popular aquatic area with gorgeous blue ocean views. No wonder there were so many paddle boards, boats and jetski’s.
Well worth a trip if you are visiting Christchurch
Finally putting up the Christmas tree today! When we were in Spain last week there were so many beautiful lights and decorations, definitely a lovely place to visit at Christmas time. 🌲#hillingdonmama#christmastree#sevilla
I officially have a 14-year-old! I can't believe it. 🎉🎊🎈🎈
I was only a baby when I had this baby 14 years ago. She changed my life for the better and I am so happy she chose me to be her momma. 🤗
Her personality is like no other and she has seen and done so much in just 14 years of life. I'm thankful to be celebrating another year of love, adventure, world travel, and fun with her. Happy Birthday Alaya!!❤
Gaby found her own place and she said peace out parents. Lol. No but seriously how cute is this little house/play area at the Hamilton Gardens!? This is just part of the play area they also had treehouses, a performance stage (where we got a pretty amazing show by a stranger), and so much more. We really do love this place and it’s free so it really can’t get any better.
As you know, in 2018 our little family did some epic adventuring across the world (@ourhomesweetworld ), and while we were trekking away, I was working on this really awesome project with @justafarmerswife pretty much the whole time! Chanelle wrote, and I designed this NZ travel activity book for kids -and grown ups! It has been so good to have this creative outlet the last year, as well as create something that is both fun and educational. We hope it inspires families to go adventuring in our own backyard, beautiful New Zealand. Our first edition, the South Island, is out now, both online and in selected bookshops across the South Island, and our North Island edition will be in the works early next year! We are loving the support coming in so far! Thank you💛 What a journey it’s been.
You have until Tuesday or Wednesday to order a @xcountrykiwis book in time for Christmas! 🎄📚😍🥰 You can order here ☺️➡️ www.xcountrykiwis.com
Don’t let the pictures fool you. There have been a couple of instances this trip that William and I both wanted to put our kids on the first plane home. 😂 But then there were times like this, that we knew we were creating lasting memories.....because of a snowball fight of all things.....and the stressful times pale in comparison. Traveling with kiddos is not the easiest thing in the world, but it sure is rewarding. #wanderlust#kidswhotravel#canada#familyvacay#travel
OK, so it’s not any warmer than where we just were, but we’re excited to be back in our favorite city! It’s been 1.5 years since we left our old life here in London, and funny enough, it kind of felt like coming home again. We’re only here for a visit, but happy it’s during our favorite season. There’s much to look forward to like the friends, mince pies, and Christmas markets. Gah, it’s so lovely to see you again, old friend. 🥰
This sweet, magical boy is two years old today and I cannot believe it. The last year years have been filled with more magic, love, wonder and life lessons that I ever anticipated and I am so deeply grateful we were blessed with this little boy. I love you more than words Theodore Onyx. #birthdayboy#montanaboy
Thanks to everyone who helped us a few months ago regarding whether or not to stop over in Dubai in our way to Oz.
We have booked up and are looking forward to starting 2019 here before heading to Australia for a few weeks 🙌🏼
RAIN RAIN • I thought I would share a happy and colourful pic to cheer you all up on this miserable and wet day 🌈 -
On another note...today 101 Dalmatians was on the TV. I thought oh how lovely for bubs to watch such an iconic film (one that I loved as a child). All was going so well until they locked nanny in the cupboard, and stole the puppies 😭. She only turned two a couple of weeks ago... since then has started to understand so much more, and react to things! I had no idea how quickly this would all happen! It this usual? She was so upset, needless to say I had to turn it off! 🙈💕🌻 - (excuse the no make up in this pic, I hope it doesn’t put you off your dinner 😂) -
One of my girls’ favorite spots in #NYC is the #Eloise shop at the #PlazaHotel . My eldest has been coming here since she was 3 and now that my youngest is already 2, I’m overjoyed to see them enjoying the same spot. The Eloise shop is not just a beautiful all pink #girl boutique shop but it has a playroom and tearoom for the girls that makes them linger at the place for a longer time. The shop is at the basement level of the Plaza, where adults can also indulge in savory foods at the food court. This makes everyone happy in the family! 😉
That’s a wrap time to get these two excited little girls home to their families for Christmas.

A lifetime of memories 📝
What a journey we have been on, such an amazing experience and memories we will treasure forever.
Some of the highlights of our trip have been exploring New Zealand in a camper van seeing some of the most amazing places, seeing wild elephants on safari in Sri Lanka. Searching for orangutans in Borneo. Island hopping around the Philippines . Taking a sea plane and relaxing in the beautiful maldives. Skiing for the first time, climbing up mountains as a family and getting to experience and take part in different cultures and traditions around the world and of course our trips to Disneyland. .
It hasn’t been all fun and games we have also experienced one of the worst times of our lives being caught up in the horrible earthquake in Indonesia. But I’m so proud of our little family for overcoming it and pushing through with our plans.
The girls have been so good with adapting to the travel life, they rarely complained having to move every few days and have been little troopers on the long travel days. We can see that it has made them confident, compassionate and loving little girls and seeing them interact with children everywhere we go and learning from their experiences makes it so much more special.
We are so looking forward to spending time at home for Christmas with family and friends before we set off again in January for more adventures around the world.
Thanks to everyone who has shown us support and helped us throughout our journey we really appreciate it. ❤️
