More pictures from Thursdays park day :) This cutie just loves the camera 😊
Being a new mom is fun and exciting. Scary and stressful. It's everything in between. Feeling like you do so much, but at the same time not enough. It's that constant worry that you're going to mess up but maybe just maybe you won't. Maybe you're doing better than you really think you are. To every mommy out there struggling to be "ok" look at your baby. Look at that pure love in their eyes. They don't need another mommy they need you and you're doing great.
Food for thought from our mom, Nicole (@pharr_away) 💭...
Parenting can be a bit complex. One of the things Mario and I have been talking about recently is the oldest child and the expectations and level of responsibility that can be placed on them as the older sibling vs. the younger child, and how relaxed and lenient we can become with the children that follow as we “get the hang of parenting”.
One of the things I want us to be particularly careful about is not putting too much weight on our oldest child and trying our hardest to set the same expectations for the younger child(ren). •
If you haven’t noticed, oftentimes (not always) the oldest child grows up to be a more disciplined, ambitious, self-sufficient person than the other children. It’s because parents start to lean on them to help take care of things as more children are had. Naturally, they are forced to grow up a bit when siblings come along, plus the older you get the more you can do — so it just makes sense.
But, I’m challenging Mario, myself, and other parents to think through how we might be treating our children differently and how we can truly enforce the same expectations of helpfulness and responsibility for each as they age. •
I fully expect Madison to teach Morgan so many things. But it’s my goal, to be her ultimate caretaker and teacher; instilling discipline, resourcefulness, responsibility and so much more in her so that she becomes just as self-sufficient and independent as Madison into adulthood. •
✨a lush day✨
Spending the day with the Mr and the sprogs makes my heart full. Seeing gorgeous friends and chilling in front of the fire. ..
Today has been a bit of a recoup ready to work through tonight again. The way I see it, we can get 8 hours uninterrupted throughout the night, and we just don’t get that in the day (no idea why 🙄👶🏼🧒🏼👦🏻🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️)
Doing as much work in the lounge at the mo though as we just have to watch the strictly final!
Much love folks 😘😘
This semi-blurry picture makes me laugh so much! It describes our family so much in this moment.
Jack moving so quickly and just busy all the time, but ever-so-sweet.
Kat becoming one in her own, feisty and making her voice heard, while constantly making us laugh.
Gosh, I just love them.
Grandad's little helper👨👧🔨🛠 She's always the first one out of the door to give him a hand with any DIY jobs. As you can imagine, she's loved every single minute of helping him out to build our home office. If I'm being honest, she's got better DIY skills than me. Truth.🔨🤕 What jobs/ chores do your little ones try to help out with?
