End of school year, its christmas, kids are tired, hot and arguing with each other. .
Top it off with adults being cranky and stressed out around this time of year just makes it miserable for everyone. 🙄
We had a guy nearly T-bone us in a carpark then followed us to tell us off that we didnt give way to him.....after going back to check if we were in the wrong, it was he that had the give way sign. He was obviously having a bad day....and by the looks of the dents in his car, he has had several of those days. 🙊
This morning my kids were arguing on the way to school, i nearly ran over a puppy that escaped from someones house or yard 😰, my car was on empty and i wasnt sure if i would make it to drop kids off. 🙈
SO, rather than contribute to the frustration and get all worked up about it, I've decided to #letitgo and spread some kindess and love. Anyone acting out of anger, frustration etc needs love. 💖
Im not going to be one of those people who blowup at every little thing that doesnt go my way. #patience 🙌
Its difficult at times to not want to scream but its really not going to get me anywhere. Other than more f#$%* off. lol 🤣
Make the effort to go out of your way to make everyone you come in contact with feel good. Ask them how they are doing....make small talk. Wish them a Merry Christmas.....Be Present. Slow down. Breathe. Then pour yourself a drink! 🤪
It's the first 21st Century Skill puzzle of the month so let's get crackin'! 😝
This one might not be as easy as the rest, but we hope you parents still recognise it!
Fill in the blanks (Hint: The ability to take action before others do)
Are you thinking of visiting Paris but you’re unsure what itinerary would be suitable with young children? Try Mummy Erni’s Paris 6D itinerary: .
Day 1: Leisure walk around the city, Saint-Germain-des-Prés has great family hotels, restaurants and an interesting scene for some shopping. There are chocolate boutiques as well and don’t forget to check out the Christmas Market!
Day 2: Rent a car and drive to Magic Circus hotel near Euro Disney. Highly recommended! Dream Circus Hotel is a great option too with brilliant views. Shuttle service is provided to Euro Disney. There is also a factory outlet at the new town Marne-la-Vallée (yay more shopping!) .
Day 3: Spend an entire day at Euro Disney. Purchase a 2 days pass so that you can spread out your rides and pace your day. This also allows you to incorporate nap-times for your children (and yourself!) back at the hotel. Watch amazing fireworks display at night! .
Day 4: Check out and drive back to Paris. Walk around leisurely and look for Macaroons, a must in Paris! Oh Laduree! (Mummies may also decide on which bag to buy 😆)
Day 5: Go to Eiffel Tower. You can queue to go up to the TOP of the tower but ONLY on days when there are not many people (typically weekdays). You can also check out the markets there. The night light up is magical! .
Day 6: Consider grabbing a Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus ticket if you want to see all other Paris’s tourist spots while still taking the day at your own pace! #kidstraveleasy

Seasoned traveller Mummy @deeana05 survived a bus journey to and from Kuala Lumpur with her 3 year old toddler, Nadine, in tow. That is a total of 8 hours long coach ride many of us Mummies will not dare to take! Here’s her 5-step guide to make your KL city-break possible via Coach..
Now anyone who knows Nadine knows that she is incapable of sitting still. On top of that, she's THREE. Need I say more? I was rather worried for my sanity during the journey. But I did it! And miraculously, I did not have a hard time. So HOW did I manage this incredible feat?.
1. Manage expectations. A day before each leg of the journey, I had a conversation with Nadine abt what's to come. How long the journey would be, what to expect and what I expected of her. I usually find that she's more cooperative when she knows what to expect. I also told her she needed to sleep for the most part to conserve her energy for ALL the fun activities i had planned for her.
2. Prepare a travel kit. Consisting of healthy snacks, milk for when she wants to nap, fave book, activity book and crayons to keep her occupied. I packed at least 3 different activities cos we all know what 3yr olds are like rite?.
3. Share memories. We took a trip down memory lane. I showed her photos and videos of herself since she was a baby, and videos of her milestones and she thoroughly enjoyed it. We talked about moments she remembered and abt how proud I was of all her achievements..
4. Take breaks. Whenever we had a chance to get off the bus, checkpoints and rest stop, I made sure to find a safe place for her to be able to run ard to release her energy, even if it's for abit.
5. Encourage and reward good behaviour! I enticed her with a reward to motivate her to behave and to cooperate with me. And I constantly reminded her of it! I told her that she needed to earn her screen-time by being on her best behaviour and it worked like a charm!.
Nadine slept through quite a big chunk of the journey and mostly she cooperated. Miraculously there were no tantrums or meltdowns. So I also rewarded myself after, with a lobster! With proper planning and a bit of luck, KL via Coach is possible Mummies!😘 #kidstraveleasy
The City Holiday.
Think London. Tokyo. Reykjavik. Berlin. Amsterdam. Bangkok. Kuala Lumpur! City holidays or City breaks as some might term it has plenty to entertain your Globe Toddlers. You will be surprised that there are actually many European cities that are toddler-friendly. From glorious parks to huge playgrounds to city zoos. Children (Kinder) cafes, Museums, Carousels. The best part? Most city attractions are indoors so we don't have to worry about unpredictable weather! Even though City Holidays can be largely unpopular among parents with toddlers due to the hustle and bustle. You know what we think? Your Globe Toddlers will love the interaction - all the movement and the bright lights! 📸 @haikhalfuad .
What will be the destination of choice for your year end travels? Let’s give it a chance, in the name of adventure! Hashtag your travel journey #kidstraveleasy and help other Mummies and Daddies plan theirs! .
Are you losing sleep, worrying about your first upcoming flight with your newborn baby? Lose the jitters and read on to find out how gorgeous Mummy @meygalai.thambidurai prepared for a 6.5 hour flight, alone with her 5-month old daughter Esra, from Doha to Helsinki..
As a new mother, married to someone who travels for work, it was inevitable that I had to fly solo with Esra sometime in the near future. It seemed extremely daunting initially, but I took steps to prepare myself ahead of time..
Travel light. I did not want to be lugging multiple bags around so I packed only the essentials and wore her in a baby carrier (babywear) for boarding. I ensured that the carrier was kept easily accessible throughout the flight in case I needed to walk up and down the cabin to rock her to sleep. .
Talk to your baby. I have never underestimated the connection between baby and mother. I kept having little conversations with Esra to let her know that we were about to embark on an exciting journey and create new memories together! .
Book strategically. I planned to fly in the evening as it coincided with Esra’s usual sleep pattern. I nursed as often as possible during the flight, especially during climb and descent as the swallowing helps with equalising the pressure in her ears, reducing the number of crying episodes. I purchased an infant ticket so that there would be an empty seat beside me where I could put her down, and also stretch myself..
Prepare an outfit in your carry-on bag, suitable for the destination you’re heading to. I was careful not to dump all winter clothes into the cargo bag and made sure Esra will be kept snuggly warm the moment we arrived in Helsinki. Don’t count on your cargo bag to always arrive safely! You might never know..
There were tons of other factors to consider but the best advice I received from other Mummies is to never allow myself to get stressed whenever Esra cries. I was extremely nervous initially but I focused on enjoying the experience and making memories with my babygirl. Always remember baby and you are a team! Here’s wishing everyone smooth skies and happy flights always. #kidstraveleasy

Some people might ask why did we choose such a cold place to bring the children especially when they are so young. .
Why not cold countries for a change , given that we are experiencing summer all year round! Winter or cold weather is indeed refreshing and it also means less sweat for us parents😝 Having said that, the kids must really be dressed appropriately for such climate. .
Check often to see if they are warm and dry. If your child’s feet and hands are warm, what they are wearing is usually good! For those bringing infants, they will need extra layering in extreme cold weather - as they aren’t moving , so they can’t generate body heat they way active toddlers can. Always cover their heads k cos really a lot of body weight is lost through their head. Keep their ears covered at all time to prevent frostbite. Get the younger ones a neck warmer, to keep their chest warm.
For their cheeks, they will be prone to frostbite - so what you can do is , the regular breaks indoor and outdoor. Keep moisturizing them. .
Have loads of fun creating memories with your little ones! 🐾
