After all the hard work you have done this week, find time to celebrate the things you have accomplished. It doesn't have to be grand. It can be as simple as taking a few minutes to appreciate the positive results and thank the people who had helped and motivated you. You can also celebrate your milestones with family and friends who's always been there for you. At the end of the day, remember this milestone means you are closer to reaching your goals.
What milestone did you reach this past week?
Have a fun weekend ahead.

💙 It’s always a productive week when mommy is home. Too often parents depend on teachers to teach their children when the person with the biggest impact on little minds is their parent. #babyboy#carlo#pogi#khmer#mixbabies
It's 1 am and here I am having a really emotional moment out of nowhere. I was looking up job vacancies as I would really like to put myself out there and have a purpose again. I saw a job vacancy for something I was so passionate about before my accident (organisations working to prevent child exploitation and support affected children) and for the first time since my accident I actually felt the same sense of passion again. I was so worried about how the accident had changed me and that I was not the same person I used to be. I had heard people talking about jobs in the field before but felt completely empty inside which worried me so much because it was such a part of who I was before. But all of a sudden I felt the spark again. It's like a little, huge part of the old me is coming back. I feel so happy but then also so sad that it has taken so long for me to feel this way again for a moment. Recovery is such a rollercoaster.
I took this photo somewhere along a roadside in Cambodia (2016). 🌻
I though love was red roses, kissing in the rain, fancy dinners, and little blue boxes.
But now that I’m older it is so much more than that.
True love are the unseen forehead kisses.
It’s profound breakfast and coffee in our underwear conversations.
It’s late nights impatiently waiting for chocolate chips cookies by the oven.
It’s understanding each other’s sarcasm and being honest.
It’s tears from laughter, sadness, and tongue-tied frustration.
It’s watching the sunrises and sunsets in your arms.
It’s getting indisputably lost and saying ‘we’re exploring’.
It’s accepting and loving each other’s imperfection.
It’s waking up at 4am and knowing your whole world is besides you.
And it’s the popping vein on my forehead when I’m with you.
Love is what you make of it.
#fbf to last week's @cambodiatownfilmfestival.
This was my first year attending the film festival and I'm inspired even more, not just as a filmmaker but as a story teller. It's important every single one of us steps into the light to share our experiences that led us here into this moment.
Albeit, tragic, happy, or funny, it's our duty to unsilence the gap between intergenerational trauma and forgive our past in order to release us into the present and propel our bright futures.
After processing the stories/films/meet n greets, my biggest take away is to never stop sharing our story because we never know who we're inspiring and uplifting along the way.
Thanks @cambodiatownfilmfestival and its Committee/volunteers, @cambodia_town_california and all the filmmakers and people who came together for such an impactful weekend.

Did you see Nyum Bai's feature in the New York Times? 📰 Here's a snippet!: "These are the dishes that my mom would cook from her memory," Ms. Yun said of her menu. She hews closely to traditional Khmer cooking, which was nearly a casualty of genocide. For a time, these recipes existed only in the minds of those who had escaped the country. Ms. Yun’s kuy teav Phnom Penh, a rich and earthy pork noodle soup, is just like her mother’s. "These are the ways the Khmer still have recipes,” she said. "We’re cooking through memories of taste.""
Thank you @nytimes @mayukh.sen for featuring Nite's story! ❤️
