Some people will go their whole lives running from struggle and always looking for the easy way out....this place is outside of their emotional price range. -
Run towards anything that will make you stronger.
Chest flys on an Incline are essential to build your upper chest. If you goal is aesthetics, then an incline fly is a much more valuable exercise than a bench press🙏🏽
A little clip from “Functional Aesthetics- Foundations” the program I’m working on. Using the correct technique on KEY exercises is crucial to keep you gaining in the right areas, and being efficient with your time in the gym😘
Client Chris performing a form of Split Squat with 16kgs of Kettlebell’s in his hands... - One of my favourite unilateral leg exercises out there for rehab, strength and/or hypertrophy.
1. Quad & Glute gains
2. Ankle Stability
3. Core Strength
4. Easy progression or regression
5. Lumbar spine is not compressed with use of KBs (or DBs)
6. Mind to muscle connection
7. Helps improve your compound lifts such as the conventional Squat or Lunge
8. Decreased leg strength imbalances (if you have any, I guarantee you have)
9. Can do these anywhere with no equipment
Briefly showing the difference between a Romanian Deadlift (RDL) and a traditional deadlift using the kettlebell. Both are great moves, both are hinges and both work the entire lower body, especially the glutes and hamstrings. The RDL tends to be easier for beginners or those with limitations/recovering from injuries to learn as it doesn’t require as much mobility as the full deadlift. As you can see the RDL is more of a straight leg motion where the full deadlift requires the ankle & hip mobility to be able to drop down and sit backwards. 👉Either way whichever deadlift you choose notice that it is not a vertical movement (straight up and down) it’s more of a horizontal motion where the hips & glutes are moving back & downwards as the chest dips slightly forward. Think about hip thrusting by driving the glutes forward and simultaneously pulling the chest & shoulders backwards, instead of just driving straight upwards as you would in a squat. #kettlebellworkout#kettlebell#kettlebells#njfitness#bergencounty#elmwoodpark#rdls#deadlifts#deadliftform

One of my fave moves right now 🔥 KB RDL - clean & Goblet Squat 💥 to hit the hamstrings and quads in the same set. Motivation can be hard to find. When you're struggling to get to the gym or workout at all, choose something, anything, you know you enjoy. Even if it's not on the "program or schedule". And don't feel guilty b/c you didn't stick to the plan. Fitness is a lifetyle journey to enjoy, not to resent or look at as a chore. How can you adhere for life if you don't even like it? As a fitness coach I strive to help others find what they like to do. Message me about helping you find what you like about fitness to assist in the success of reaching your goals.
I met my friend Ernie of @earnedstrength 3 years ago, when I hosted @drmarkcheng for his #prehabrehab101 workshop. What I love about Ernie is his passion for learning about movement. We share the same background in training philosophies (kettlebells, FMS, prehab-rehab, primal movement). When his wife was expecting their first child, he reached out to me to ask how he can properly train her during pregnancy and heal postpartum. One of the courses I recommended was @jessiemundell’s Postnatal Fitness Specialists Academy. He signed up for the course this past April and graciously let me share his feedback. He’s a fitness professional that gets it. He’s probably one of the few male fitness professionals that is taking the course. Give him a follow and if you need a coach to work with in the Twin Cities, he’s your guy. Super smart and very humble. ❤️
As fitness professionals, we can’t do it all. In order to effectively help our female clients, we need to stay in our lane. Know when to refer out or collaborate with another fitness professional that specializes in pre-postnatal exercise. Your clients will be forever grateful. I’m happy to consult or you can sign up for Jessie’s course. Registration closes tonight at midnight PST for the last class of 2018. It won’t reopen again until mid-2019. Moms need you. This course has also be approved for CECs, including NASM and ACE. Fulfill your CECs for your cert renewal as a double bonus! It’s worth every penny. ✨
