It's been really hot in London so I'm unable to go to sleep before midnight, so I can't get up in time to go to the gym before work. So I'm back to home workouts. As usual, kettlebells are harder than they look and make me break a sweat super fast! Today's workout was 3 rounds of 15kb swings (16kg), 10 x bent over rows (2 x 12kg), 10 x push ups.
Only 5 push ups fit in though! 😅

2 min EMOM, 4-5 rounds (give yourself 2 minutes to do the following series of exercises and repeat 4-5x for a total of 8-10 minutes):
🔅30 kettlebell swings 🔅15 push ups 🔅8 burpees with climbing plank 🔅Forearm plank hold for remainder of 2 minutes (option to add hip twist)
You can work on your snatch, clean, and deep Cossack lunge all at once.
Grab a medium to heavy kettlebell for this one:
1 snatch — rack the KB — step back Cossack lunge — rotational clean into lateral Cossack lunge. That’s one rep. Do 4-5 reps on each side. 5 sets in total.
I did this flow at the end of a lower body strength session (hip thrusts, Bulgarian split squats, etc) and it was the perfect finisher! Give it a go and tag me getstrongwithgina

The kettlebell clean is probably the most difficult move to learn in KB training. It all starts in the forward swing-- once you feel the bell "float" at a certain point, you insert your four fingers into the window of the bell, shifting the handle in between your index finger and thumb.
Here's a slow-mo demonstration of what it's supposed to look like.

3. Renegade Row + Push Up as shown with notable forward head posture, though otherwise excellently executed due to an A+ effort to keep hips and abs on lock down for very effective anti-rotational core activation. #tiiiight
4. Turkish Get Up interrupted with Overhead Squats halfway through. Nicole is a kettlebeast but she's also human, so the eagle-eyed kettlebellers out there will notice a couple technical errors on her smooth and speedy get up, which I won't go into now, but let it be known, I acknowledge them. My kettlecrew are hella strong and amazing.
Shout out to Kandace on her life-changing results! It's amazing what the body will do when you have a plan that gives it the right fuel, the right stimulus, and you, the variable, are consistent and driven to get this "health and fitness thing" right once and for all.

PR 5 rep sets one arm cleans and then full one arm clean and press with a super thick handle 150 lb kettlebell. First few seconds of the video shows the handle of the Kettlebell next to Olympic Bar so you can see how much bigger the handle is than a regular barbell and how close it is in thickness to the 2 inch thick end. The thick handle plus the fact that it's deep, which adds to the length of the bell (makes the lever longer making it harder to turn as you can see and you can see how close the bell comes to the ground between reps)and the huge ball on the end makes it very hard to one arm clean and even harder to catch it without knocking yourself down. Pretty happy with this because I was never able to do this before. Who says you can't keep getting stronger. Who says you can't make your life better? Whoever it is they're wrong. Completely wrong.
