Looking for a quick and easy lunch today. I arrived home in Houston from Chicago late last night and awoke today to find no food. One can of chicken in the pantry and now we’re on to some pretty satisfying chicken salad 👌🏻
Love my mama lama! She encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and enjoy this body. It’s still under construction but I still wanna enjoy how far I have come.

Prepared Recipe for Low Carb Pizza Dough
6 slices uncured low sodium bacon (I used Applegate)
1 1/2 pound ground turkey
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon pepper
6 ounces cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar free ketchup
2 cup shredded mozzarella I used Sargento
Prepare the pizza dough on a parchment lined baking sheet but DO NOT precook it as you would for the pizza recipe.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Cook the bacon in a skillet until crisp. Remove with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper towel lined plate.
Cook the ground turkey in the same skillet on medium high heat until browned and no longer pink.
Add all the rest of the ingredients and cook until cheese is melted and combined well.
Place the filling down the center of the pizza dough.
Wet your hands with water then lift one side of the dough over on top if the filling as far as you can bring it.
Fold the other half over and seal closed simply by pressing the dough with wet fingers.
Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool out of the oven 10-15 minutes before slicing.
Enjoy with condiments and pickles!

Here’s another eye opener, guys 👀 .
You can be in ketosis and still gain weight.
Restricting your carbohydrates will put your body in a state of Ketosis. Your body will no longer run fully on glucose (sugar) and will start running on fats for fuel, buuuut if you eat more calories than you burn... regardless of Keto, Atkins, Vegan, Paleo, etc... you will gain weight.
So just because you’re in ketosis doesn’t mean you will automatically lose weight.
You still need a caloric deficit to lose weight.
As for adding fats to your diet. In MY opinion, eating fatty meats, cream, cheese, eggs, avocado, nuts and green veggies is what is needed. You can add a little oil or butter to your food, but not in excess because you want your body to burn your own fat. If you add a ton of fat, well then your body needs to burn that off before tapping into your own fat stores.
I hope this makes sense. I will try to talk about this a little more on my stories.

Thanks to @keto.what.may for the idea! I just eyed my ingredients and didn't measure, but here's what I did:
1. Line pepperoni in a muffin tin to make a "cup". I used two pieces per cup.
2. Make your filling. In a bowl, I mixed spinach, ricotta, bacon crumbles, one egg, and a bit of salt and pepper. You can use whatever you want!
3. Add the filling to each cup, dividing it evenly between the cups.
4. Add a tbsp of low carb tomato sauce on top. I used PC black label tomato and basil pasta sauce.
5. Top with cheese and more bacon crumbles.
6. Bake at 375F for 12 minutes. Next time I'll bake it a little longer so the pepperoni crisps up more.
Not bloody enough for me... oops! But still delicious 😘👌🏻 So far I've been doing carnivore for over 2 weeks now and honestly I thought I'd be so done with it by now. I forgot to take my measurements at the 2 week mark but I will at the 3 week mark.
So far this is what I am personally experiencing while being #carnivore : -I feel free because I don't feel an emotional/social attachment to food anymore
-Seeing people eat donuts doesn't phase me anymore
-Feeling emotions doesn't trigger cravings anymore! And my emotions seem less erratic to me
-I also feel free because I don't have to track anything or plan my meals anymore
-Meat is extremely satiating to me so I just eat when I feel hungry, and sometimes I'm not hungry for a day or two at a time
-I'm actually saving money because I'm not eating all the time
-The number on the scale hasn't stopped going down... I know weight fluctuates but mine hasn't yet. It's been steadily going down since starting carnivore
-My energy is still very good every day and my sleep habits I can tell are starting to get better
I'm hopeful that the more I stick with this the more these good changes will stick and the more good changes will happen. I understand everyone may not experience the same things as me if they try carnivore, but I think the key to any healthy lifestyle is consistency and having the patience and self-discipline to not give up too soon.
Whatever lifestyle and eating habits you choose in order to improve your health, stick with it! Changes don't happen overnight and you can only really know if it's working by giving it a chance. So keep at it for a month or two, then assess what it did or didn't do for you and then go from there. That would be my advice anyways. 🤓😋❤️

Reese’s. Were. My. Jam. Before Keto I had thee biggest sweet tooth. During my first pregnancy I had the worst morning sickness and when it subsided, candy was what I lived off of. Even after that pregnancy was over I always had a stash of candy. My husband (then baby daddy 😜) even bought me an entire box of Cadbury eggs during Easter because he knew that they were my favorite.
