For those who have followed me for a while now, you know we love Costco’s pulled pork. It comes plain so it’s 0 carbs 😱. We then top it with some @ghughessugarfree bbq sauce and call it a day! 💁🏽♀️ Jake used a Joseph’s Pita with it tonight and I’ve both added a side salad to get those veggies 👍🏼. There are many flavors of the sugar free BBQ sauce out there, but this is the only flavor we can find at our local grocery stores. One of these days I’m actually going to order some other flavors online to give ‘em a whirl!

-1 spaghetti squash baked at 400F for 40 Mins.
-First, microwaved it and then cut it in half and scooped out the seeds.
-Sprayed a pan with nonstick spray then put the spaghetti squash on it.
-Made some skillet chicken (two chicken breasts cut into strips, cooked in a skillet over medium heat in avocado oil and seasoned with leftover @primalpalate seasoning)
-Then paired it with easy leftover fajita veggies and mashed avo 😍
What is intermittent fasting?
Intermittent Fasting is the opposite of eating. When you refrain from eating like during sleep, you are fasting intermittently. -
The phrase ‘intermittent fasting’ is an umbrella term given to range of different ways to stop eating methodically.
These are all based on time and the most common one is the Ayuno fast, 16 hours fasted and 8 hours of feeding.
There are many different ways to fast. However, as a rule of thumb INTERMITTENT fasting can span no longer than 24 hours. After, this it becomes fasting.

If you guys use MyFitnessPal there’s a feature I didn’t know about initially which is being able to look up restaurant menus for more accurate macros. One place I love to eat at is CHIPOTLE and it’s very easy to stay within your macros. As you can see from my pictures I’m able to customize my salad bowl very easily! It’s so easy to add veggies or extra sour cream and customize my entree however I like that eating out isn’t as intimidating as it was initially when I first started keto. This way if I’m every wanting to eat out and not cook I can go out and have a meal without feeling guilty! 🥗🥑😋
Morning routines. Do you have one?
My morning routine consists of getting up at 530, drinking apple cider vinegar and water then reading, journaling, making coffee, listening to a podcast or audible chapter, hitting the gym, social media, and then getting into my goals for the day.🤓
Part of my weekly and daily priorities are to enjoy my life with @Jciake as much as possible.
She loves monkeying around when I’m trying to work, seeing as my work revolves primary around my phone and laptop, but I know she does it out of love to allow me to take necessary breaks and she bring more positivity and fun to my days.
I’m learning I’m very hard on myself in that I always think I could be doing more or working harder. Jackie helps remind me of all the progress I’ve made and successes I’ve had over my lifetime.
She also reminds me I’m about to hit the one year mark of starting my own business and this month I actually just wrote myself my first pay check that wasn’t just paying myself back for what I put in, rather a legit salary pay check with more left in the business account!
I officially have launched a business and turned a profit within the first year. 🙌🏼
What’s really cool to me is my business is fueled by my WHY, which is to inspire and empower others to become the healthiest, happiest, and most successful versions of themselves so they don’t suffer and learn to prioritize their health the hard way as I did. .

This mornings harvest for tonights soup. Our māla(garden) plays a very important role in our health and overall peace of mind. We are truly thankful for our beautiful abundance. Palula(sweet potato leaves), Wāpine(lemon grass), Basil and Eggplant. Our 14 day Water Fast gave us amazing results. Blood sugars are down, ketones are up and we lost lots of weight. Husband 25 and me 20 for a total of 45 pounds! What a great way to start our Ketogenic Lifestyle. We are both feeling a lot healthier, more energy, less pain and happier. We still have a long way to go but we plan on enjoying every step of this journey.
As we transition in to the next phase of our journey we dedided to Intermittent Fast(IF) while introducing good gut stuff between our window of 3 to 7pm this week. After drinking only water for 14 days itʻs pretty easy to do. If you have any questions for us please post them below.
FYI, the egg plant you see there is 16 carbs all by itʻs self, hence the reason we are only using 1 for this huge pot of soup. Not sure what kind of soup itʻs going to be yet but we will definately be adding coconut oil or milk to get that faulous fats in. Oh and we have also learned that Psyllium Husk is a great thickner. We are learning a lot as we go and loving every step of the way. I have been a diabetic for over 10 years and I am very thankful to get a handle on my weight and glucose without medication.
