4 hour simmered beef bone broth. Only paid $4.25 for a pack of bones and just added a few spices and vegetable scraps laying around. After reducing down to about 2qts this broth is so dense in flavor. I can't wait to have this tomorrow to help continue through fast. โ€ข
Successfully completed my 2nd 24hr fast. It's not yet something I want to do on a daily basis, but maybe I'll get to that point soon. Currently I'm doing 18hr fasts about 4 days a week.

Dinner tonight was super simple and delicious. Ground turkey cooked in coconut oil, butter and garlic herbs. Once cooked I added mushrooms, onions (not much), garlic, and broccoli. Let that simmer and I had myself a meal and hubbys lunch for work tomorrow. My food always has to have some kind of spice and sriracha was my choice for tonight and lucky for me I stayed at only 13 net carbs for the day ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Which then leads to muscle Fatigue and cramps... So... Quite simple solution... It has himalayan salt in it... And I time interval doses of some potassium and magnesium during the fasting period... All of these combined keep me feeling energized, hydrated, and not hungry.... 1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp greek yogurt

1 tsp garlic powder
2 sprigs of fresh thyme
1 tsp paprika
Salt&pepper

Place the chicken in a deep dish. Sprinkle with (half of everything) olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, fresh thyme, paprika, lemon juice. Cover the mix with yogurt. Flip the chicken, repeat the same process. Refrigerate for 30 min, toss them in a hot pan with butter. Cook until both sides are brown at high heat.

Avoid All Unhealthy Oils

Processed vegetable oils, margarine, hydrogenated oils, partially hydrogenated oils and other trans fats, interesterified fats - sunflower, safflower, cotonseed, canola, soybean, grapeseed and corn oil are all damaging to your health. Trans fatty acids and processed oils:

are oxidized during high-heat processing which creates free radicals
they are often made from genetically modified seeds
are pro-inflammatory and bad for your gut health
consumption of trans fats increases risk of coronary heart disease
consumption of trans fats negatively affects cholesterol levels - reduces concentrations of HDL cholesterol ("good" cholesterol) and increases concentrations of low-density LDL cholesterol ("bad" cholesterol)
associated with increased risk of cancer

Trans fats do exist in nature but also occur during the processing of polyunsaturated fatty acids in food production. Naturally occurring trans fats have been found to be beneficial compared to artificial trans fats. Natural trans fats are found in dairy products and meat from grass-fed animals.

Artificial trans fats are referred to as "metabolic poison". Eliminate these from your diet by avoiding foods that contain hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils. These types of trans fats are typically found in margarines, cookies, crackers or even French fries.

*Carnivore ZC Keto* Day 1: Being that Iโ€™m a curious creature and needing to try things for myself before believing or dismissing anecdotal evidence Iโ€™ve decided to try eating 100% Carnivore Keto (0carb) for 30 days and see how I feel. Animal protein and fat sources, salt, coffee, water (and occasionally whisky ๐Ÿ˜‰) I feel pretty darn fantastic as is right now so Iโ€™m not really sure what Iโ€™m expecting but Iโ€™ll be documenting my progress here.  Iโ€™m not doing this for weight loss but I did take my weight this morning out of curiosity and baseline.  I weighed 122lbs and Iโ€™m 5foot tall as of 8/13/2018 (I already made a little mistake forgetting I canโ€™t have mustard on my burger patty but Iโ€™ll be better tomorrow lol) I always do and will continue to eat responsibly sourced animal products.
