Nearly 4lb. So close. This week I learnt that this isn’t going to be so easy. I’ve spent the summer having a great time drinking a heap of prosecco and generally eating what I liked. This week I found that even though I was careful with my carbs that drinking alcohol definitely affects my weight loss 😩 I’ve got nothing planned for this weekend so maybe that will make it a big weight loss week. Inspired by @mellysparkles recent post, I’ve reinstated turmeric lattes back into my hot drinks rotation.

I’ve got a turmeric latte blend that I purchased, but it’s easy to make your own with ground spices. I love having mine at night with a dash of MCT oil and blended up with some non-dairy milk 😋

Dinner tonight was super simple and delicious. Ground turkey cooked in coconut oil, butter and garlic herbs. Once cooked I added mushrooms, onions (not much), garlic, and broccoli. Let that simmer and I had myself a meal and hubbys lunch for work tomorrow. My food always has to have some kind of spice and sriracha was my choice for tonight and lucky for me I stayed at only 13 net carbs for the day 🙌🏼

O que eu quero dizer é que, se uma pessoa não fizer a parte dela nessa superação, sinto informá-la que ela vai continuar sofrendo e olhando sempre pro passado. Essa parte que a pessoa tem que fazer, é dolorida e muitas vezes nos deixa sem saída e sem entender a vida. Mas, uma coisa é você olhar o seu passado, superá-lo ou respeitá-lo em algumas situações, e guardar as boas lembranças. Outra coisa é você se culpar ou se perguntar o porque daquilo ter acontecido pelo resto dos dias. Só lembre que oportunidades de aproveitar as coisas boas da vida aparecem todos os dias.

I used to drink THREE TO FOUR CUPS OF COFFEE PER DAY! I was naive enough to think that the amount I was drinking did not affect me at all. .
But I was super stressed all the time, emotional, and once, I went into a meeting with my manager with trembling hands. .
Now, whenever people tell me they drink coffee in the afternoon but it does not affect them, I always reply 'Let me guess, you are really stressed though, aren't you?' Apparently, I hit the nail on the head. .
I have decreased the amount of coffee I drink significantly. Most of the time, I will have one before 12pm. Coffee can stay in your body for up to 12 hours. So, for you night owl that you cannot go to bed before 12 or 1am and need a stimulant as you head to work, please reconsider. .
Caffeine affects your hormones and one of your biggest rhythms which is the sleep-wake cycle. Scientists have seen that you can re-balance your hormones and align with the sleep-wake cycle even after a day without having any caffeinated drinks. .
Think of it as a caffeine detox, as detoxes are so popular these days. .
