EFFORT: I’ve told my kids since birth, “Anything worth having is going to require your hard work.” Hunting has taught me new lessons in my own mantra.😁 This shot is from my first mule deer experience this past year. We saw sign all over and pushed up into some places where it looked like it was just a matter of WHEN we would see what we were looking for 🦌 But in the struggle for survival, these creatures have the upper hand. Should I have gotten up earlier? Covered more ground? Planned a longer trip? WILL I EVER BE GOOD AT THIS? The second guessing and self reflection can plague you or drive you. Going home empty handed has been a humbling part of this journey. But I hear my own words echo in my mind and become more determined to learn from each experience. #fueledbyfailure I didn’t fill my tag this year, but this is just the beginning... @Regran_ed from @cameronrhanes - I ran thru Death Valley with fellow @uarunning athlete @theriverswild who could use our help after having a tumor removed from his brain last week.
The first photo shows Kyle, framed in blue, beastin’ as he was known for, the second shows him fighting. 👈👈👈. Let’s help by donating to his go fund me account, the proceeds of which will help pay his medical expenses. Link to the Go Fund Me account is in my bio above 👆👆👆. Thank you all for your help 🙏 - #regrann#keephammering#ua#underarmour#ultramarathon#run#running#help

The average person over the age of 25 gains around 5 lbs of fat annually. I was right on track for that eating a standard American diet. The before picture was taken in early 2016 when I decided to start intermittent fasting. I was somewhere between 225 and 230 lbs. Later that year I started experimenting with the keto way of eating and got down to 185 lbs.
I got food poisoning in September of 2016 and thought I was sick from getting kicked out of ketosis which naturally made me nervous to jump back in. At that time I had just started store manager training at aldi and it being such a physically demanding job, I was very hesitant to try to get back into ketosis.
I never stopped collecting info or listening to podcasts, I was just waiting for the right time to get back at it. Fast forward to this year, January 2018. I decided to dive back in. I am now down to 176 lbs and I feel amazing! I've lost almost 60 lbs total with very little weight training and almost zero cardio. It has become my passion to help people get their health on track. If you or anyone you know is interested in making your health a priority please feel free to reach out and take the first step. Ninjas of ketosis
Ninja level motivation.

My late season archery buck! Was able to get it done with my Hoyt RX-1 Cam Hanes edition. We’ve had history with this buck since 2014 including sheds from his left side in ‘14 and ‘15 found by my brother and trail cam pics from ‘14, ‘15, ‘16 and just days before I shot him. We’ve never actually laid eyes on him while on stand and with exception to a few trail cam pics was basically a ghost. Tuesday afternoon he stepped out into the cut corn field I was sitting over and I made a 50 yard shot taking him down swiftly. With the history we’ve had with this buck we’re able to age him at 7.5 making him the oldest buck I’ve killed to date.

Often times it is far too easy to fall into routines & comfort zones. On Saturday I started listening to Can’t Hurt Me on audio book by @davidgoggins. All I can say is get it! It will change the way you think. I do not enjoy running but know bowhunting season will be here before I know it. So this week I got after it! I ran more miles this week than I have in a long time to be better than I was last week! #canthurtme#dontgetcomfortable#hoytbowhunting#keephammering#trainhardhunteasy
