From our India1948 blog: Mushroom & Pecan Chickpea Chilla! Chilla is a Sindhi favorite often seen in the streets of Crawford Market in Mumbai, India. They are made with a combination of cheese, herbs and vegetables incorporated into a batter. These are a house favorite & way easier (just as delicious) than a breakfast dosa.
Lamb Bun at Asia! Slow braised lamb shank cooked with warm spices, yogurt, mushrooms and stuffed inside a sweet potato egg bun...topped with tamarind, pickled mayo, carrots and fresh pea shoots. Not to forget house made potato chips dusted with chaat masala ! Also available at the bake lab for lunch!

MANCHESTER WE LOVE YOU! And not just because your curry houses serve naans bigger than my Dad's head. Last night's show was a fantastic way to kick off our autumn tour - what an audience! Shout-out to Queen Nina, Jenny who did a poo in a nappy, Loreen who wants to shag her NCT mate's husband, and all the rest. Thank you so much @mamasmcr and @z.artsmcr for having us. Today, we leave the comfort of our Premier Inn for, well, another Premier Inn, this time in Bromsgrove. Can't wait for tonight's show! X #secondtonaan#pilautalk#keepcalmandcurryon

Jaggery Glazed Salmon from our India1948 blog (check out recipe): Jaggery is a pure, unrefined form of sugar that adds delicious sweetness to this savory and spicy dish. The salmon can be done on a baking sheet from start to finish. Another super simple weeknight meal.
Lassi originated in the Punjab region of India some 3,000 years ago. This cooling yogurt drink endures as a spring and summer staple - a familiar sound in the warm streets of Delhi is the rhythmic juggling of liquid and ice from one lota (spherical vessel) to another. Check out recipe on our blog India1948 with plenty more recipes!

Fresh mango chutney to top off our astro turf saag paneer: slow cooked, flecked with cumin and fragrant with ginger, last of the season as mango winds down…look out for jewel like pomegranate seeds coming soon to crown our food like shining rubies!
The gorgeous Konkan coast, along the western coastline of India covers the tiny state of Goa, once home to the Portuguese when they first arrived on Indian soil. My last memory of being in Goa was with my father 10 years ago, months before he passed away. We took a long trip on a houseboat, where the cook made this beautiful fragrant pork curry with steamed rice right there on the boat…one of my most cherished memories. We ate it with our hands out of a bowl while sipping cashew Fenni, a liqueur native to Goa…
