⠀⠀ starting the week off strong with my fav coffee, a solid work day and an even better workout to close 👊🏼 my nutrition has been on point for almost *two* whole weeks now and it feels AWESOME! just a (lot) sad that im like 5ft tall so i really gotta watch my fat intake.... and butter coffee is my #1 love😢 flexible dieting may not be 'cool' but it's been working for me so far and im excited to stick with it💪🏼 happy monday, fam!!!

In my time working as a coach, I've noticed that my clients who have the worst relationships with exercise coming in have the least sustainable reasons to exercise.
The two mindsets that I see most are:
1️⃣Linking exercise with food (i.e., using exercise as a way of "offsetting" the food we eat).
2️⃣Focusing on exercise solely as a way to change how our bodies look.
Without more substance, these two reasons to exercise will erode your relationship with moving your body over time. Exercise will become a chore. It will become something you don't feel connected to or get much enjoyment from. And you probably won't do it as much as you'd like to.
Exercise has to be more to us than a tool for fixing what's broken or a means to an end if we want to have a good relationship with it. That's why today on the blog I'm proposing 20 reasons to exercise that have nothing to do with weight loss or food to help you find a new and better "why" for moving your body. We have all made mistakes. Have lingering, often cycling, thoughts about parts of our past we wish we could re-do or change. Every single one of us. And we’ll continue to trip and fall flat on our face. But in those moments you remind yourself- “Sugarbear, just do the next right thing.”

Two types of 〰️ spinal rolls 〰️ for whatever feels better to you!
▫️ Child’s Pose Spinal Rolls - Tuck your toes under and really crawl your fingertips forward. On an inhale, tuck your chin and roll forward to a modified upward dog with the knees down and toes tucked. Exhale to tuck the chin and roll back. This is my #1 favorite movement I learned from @moveolution & @mobilityexercises that I do E V E R Y D A Y!
▫️ Downward Dog Spinal Rolls - a little more “yogi”, but still using the same action of tucking the chin and leading the back of the heart. If this doesn’t feel right on your low back, don’t force and it and opt for those child’s pose spinal rolls instead!
▫️ Use either one of these variations to keep your spine healthy and stay mobile for life!

Today’s back/bicep accessory exercises:
5 x 3 heavy deadlifts (not shown)
4 x 10 straight arm lat press downs
3 x 10 wide cable rows
3 x 10 narrow cable rows
3 x 10 dumbbell wide curls
3 x 10 single arm cable curls
2 x max hammer curls (burnout)
Try to aim for explosive concentric and slow, controlled eccentric.
1:30-2min rest between sets for consistent intensity.
