Another Monday means another opportunity to be great! Changing your perspective, on even the smallest of things, will change the big picture. Always strive to view your glass as half full, no matter how tough that may be sometimes.
I heard something the other day that discussed how we talk to ourselves vs. how we talk to others. If I spoke about others the way I often speak about myself, I would have zero friends. Why is it that we are so quick to see other value, but so hesitant to see our own?
I truly believe in order to love others you must first love yourself, however that looks for you. For me, it’s taking time out of my day to read and to pray, and to exercise. Self love and care looks different for everyone, but it’s equally important.
This week I challenge you to strive for happiness! Happiness doesn’t mean perfection. Being happy means having peace with your current situation, and knowing that your efforts to move forward are enough. Constantly reminding myself that Rome wasn’t built in a day.

Anyone else have a busy weekend?! This was one of those pre Christmas weekends where it was tough to find 5 minutes of quiet time. I have done a much better job the last couple of years of focusing on one thing at a time, and truly being present in the moment. It can be hard to do when your to-do list is a mile long 😜 But instead of thinking about how much we had going on, I focused on the joy the advent season brought to my girls’ faces, on connecting with old friends we got to spend a rare evening with, and on the peace the Sunday service brought our family. As Sunday starts to wind down, I was able to grab some time to myself to recharge (thanks to my wonderful husband)! This stretch session was much needed!
Next time your hips are feeling tight, try this wall assisted hip flexor stretch. I start by pushing my weight back towards the wall, and then slowly shift my hips forward until I feel a good stretch. I then shift my weight back, and repeat 5-10x/side. 🧘🏻♀️☺️❤️

When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good, you look good!
I’m not saying you should base your feelings on solely how you look bc there is so much more to you than your appearance but, who doesn’t want to feel good on the inside and the outside?!
Because the same is true for when you don’t feel good- you don’t look as good either!
When my hormones were REALLY imbalanced and gut was the worst it’s been (still working on both) it showed on the outside! I talked in my story yesterday about how my hair was weak, falling out, and not growing (which is not normal for me - huge red flag!) My skin was also breaking out and the tone was very uneven (also not normal for me!) I was in denial for awhile but, after I decided to get help, everything started to get better again!
As I worked on healing my hormones and my gut, my hair and skin started looking better again (and I lost the majority of my inflammation - still working on this too)
Ladies, don’t ignore these external signs and try to cover them up with external products - we must work internally to get to the root of the problem - same goes for your mental health as well ❤️

It’s really easy to get caught up in likes and comments and engagement...but, is that really your why?
Is that really what you were put on this planet to do?
I don’t think so ❤️ I started this account so I could have an outlet to express my passion for living a healthy lifestyle and to stay accountable.
Eventually, I started competing and it was fun to share that progress too.
The more I progressed in my own journey (and no longer needed accountability bc it was now a lifestyle) the more I wanted to share with others so i could help them progress as well.
But, the real reasoning behind this was never for likes or comments or followers - it was for me!
I also created this account during a very hard time in my life. I was in a toxic relationship and fitness really kept me sane - being able to focus on a physical goal gave me a reason to keep going. And connecting with likeminded people made me feel less alone.
Over the past two years as I’ve gone through new struggles, once again fitness saved me (with help from my dog too 🐕💕) I could focus on working out and forget the other issues.
And finally, when my health went downhill earlier this year, I was once again shown that my true passion is health & fitness so this account was not just for me anymore but, for you all too!
I want to share so I can help you the best I can, so you don’t have to struggle with the same issues I have in the past or to feel like you are alone.
Bc we are all humans, none of us are perfect, and we all have struggles whether it’s someone who has 1 follower or 1 million.

A 180° rollout / around straight to 5 reverse crunches while the rock is positioned on your feet.
1.) Start by sitting on the floor with the Rock360 in your hands on either you elect or right side •
2.) Complete at 180° roll to your opposite side, keeping your core tight. •
3.) Place the Rock360 on your feet and position your self in a reverse crunch position with your feet extended. •
4.) Drive your knees to your chest, keeping your core tight by sucking yourself bellow button through your back. •
5.) Repeat 10 rounds. Alternating sides.

After a weekend full of (probably too much) fun, one major thought comes to mind. Too many women (and men) don’t feel confident with themselves and specially their bodies. For me, that’s a terrible thought bc I know what that is like....BUT, confidence isn’t always about the number on the scale, the size you wear, or if you lost enough inches. More often, it’s about feeling healthy and happy. If our goal was more health-focused rather than number-focused, the outside would reflect that and in turn, you would feel confident. Others would see it immediately too. When you’re healthy & happy, you just have a certain glow ✨✨✨
