All the green vibes right here for your Saturday! It made sense to make hearts and stars out of all my green 🙌🏻🌱. I blended up spinach, kale, celery and coconut water and at the last minute added in some mint for extra flavour and lemon juice to help with iron absorption. A perfect and easy way to get my greens into every smoothie, just chuck a few green ice blocks in and it’s done. If you have any greens that are about to go off as well this is a great way to ensure you still gain all the benefits and they don’t go in the bin 🌱🌱🌱!

Rub the Tuscan kale with olive oil and after 10 minutes pop it on top of the mushrooms in the oven and bake for 5-10 mins. •

Every time I go see a show @hollywoodpantagestheatre I eat at @delphinehollywood. I always receive the best service and they always get me out before the show. Yesterday I enjoyed this purple and green kale salad before seeing “Waitress.” The pepitas, grilled shrimp and light dressing were refreshing for a warm summer night. The Malinche cocktail with a slice of blood orange paired well with it. Thanks Delphine for consistent quality. Recommended! 👍🏻👍🏻
All three of my fun-loving daughters are home this weekend from their summer adventures and getting ready to head off to their prospective universities.
Love having them home.
I sauteed a BIG PLATE of vegetables to add to rice, salad or to just snack on through the day. Kale, peppers, shallots and corn with a BIG BOWL of watermelon to help keep everyone hydrated.
We are all mostly vegan in this household! Got to love the fact that my girls are so conscientious about what they put into their bodies.
They are all about health, well being and reducing carbon footprints.
❤️If I ever think about the things I could have perhaps done better as a mom, all I have to do is remember that I have the honor of calling 3 BEYOND LOVELY SOULS my daughters; and it is in this remembering that I can sit back, relax, smile and congratulate myself for a job well done! 😘 And that's a really AMAZING feeling!
Thanks @kendallcom_ @haley.comstock and @jcomstockk for being those lovely souls.
From #vegetables to #daughters 😊
Why do we say “Stay Golden”? One word: TURMERIC! An entire book could be written about this one spice alone. It deserves your own research to learn of all its health benefits, but we’re going to leave you with one for today. Curcumin-the active ingredient in turmeric- is a powerful anti-inflammatory. It also boosts an important hormone in the brain known as BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) which is basically Miracle-Gro for your brain cells. Low levels of BDNF have been linked to both depression and Alzheimer’s disease. Trust us—you want a lot of BDNF hanging around in your brain, and curcumin helps that to happen. —
