As my alarm rang this morning I sat there and thought I am so glad I said yes to this opportunity to join a challenge group a year and a half ago. I remember the comment my coach said that really stuck “the only workout you regret is the one you did not do”. And that is so true to me. I use to hit the snooze button so many times i would would barely have time for even a stretch. This would happen day after day and I would say I guess I will start tomorrow. I would end up getting in a couple workouts but nothing consistent. And I would be doing the same workout when I did get my butt outta bed so, there was no variety therefor not much of a challenge for my muscles. Sure i was tired and sweaty after my workout but getting my body to change, no way!! I was hesitant saying yes, I thought this wont work for me. This is a waste of my money. How can this be better than running or my treadmill work? This is where I was wrong, sure the cardio is great don’t get me wrong but my muscles also need to strengthen and be challenged. What I was doing, was not giving me what a I was looking for so I really had nothing to lose. I am so glad, I said yes what the heck!! I can try it for a month. 😜
Fast forward a year and a half I no longer dread that alarm. Sure some mornings are foggier than others but I know its a non negotiable a non negotiable I have made to myself. I am eager to get up and check in with my challenger and peers and friends. They have all made such a positive impact in my life. Not only am I happier, less stressed, stronger but I am also getting in the best shape physically and mentally of my life. Also, I have a variety of workouts (so it never gets boring). ❤️🤗🙌 What scares you about starting something new? .........

There's a HUGE difference between the words "can't" and "don't"
When you say - 'I "CAN'T" do it' - you automatically have a reason in your mind for why you "can't". When you have a reason for why you "can't", you let yourself off the hook. Every. F*cking. Time. It works like a charm. I can't go to the gym, because I am tired. I can't break up, because I'm scared to hurt you.
Let's try this. Instead of saying "can't" - say "don't". When you say - "I Don't go to the gym" - you are accepting full responsibility for your choice not to. You are calling yourself out. You are acknowledging that you chose NOT to do it. Big difference.
Today -notice where you are saying (to yourself) that you "can't". Remove the word "can't" and substitute the word "I don't." See what happens. See if you get annoyed with yourself. See if that small switch, switches something big inside of you.
I am on a mission to teach you that there is just one person you can control. That's YOU. There's just one person that you can change. That's YOU. And I want you to embrace the fact that you are always in control of what you think and do. You CAN do anything you are willing to push yourself to do. There isn't a single excuse that will stop you when you chose to be unstoppable.
So, STOP telling yourself you "can't" do it. It's a lie. Yes, you CAN do it or at least you CAN try to do it. START saying you do or you don't. Even admitting that you don't exercise - shifts something - because you see it as a choice. And once it is a choice, you realize you can change that choice - you have control. And, life is a hell of a lot easier when you realize that you are the one in control.
