"Baby Monkeys Fed with Plastic, ID"
A world of plastic.
This is what we are heading to.
A world where food-chain is severely compromised by the amount of plastic that is consumed and not regularly disposed.
It is not an issue concerning the ocean.
Here, baby monkeys, not used to recognize good food from trash, try to bite plastic packages/bottles.
This happens on a daily basis.
This happens for any species.
This happens worldwide.
The current situation is far from allowing any optimism to grow, but a lot can be done and a lot needs to be done.
Avoid asking plastic bags when they are not strictly necessary.
Do not use plastic straws or single-use cutlery.
Do not dispose plastic in the environment.
Prefer biomaterials to oil-based materials.
Prefer goods that use low plastic packaging.
And when all the above is not possible: RECYCLE. Even when it is hard. Recycle!
There are heaps of organizations out there that are trying to fix the situation. Go find your favorite ones and support their activities.
