Back up to the upper cross syndrome for IYTs to address weak rhomboids and lower traps to pull those shoulders back! ⁣
⁣
IYTs (named after the shape you’ll take flaring up, diagonally, and out to the sides) have countless variations; you can use dumbbells, bands, cables or plates and support yourself with physioball, bench, or even use a TRX band! ⁣
⁣
The key here is to externally rotate at the end of each movement by twisting the thumbs up and out to get max rhomboid recruitment! ⁣
⁣
Alternate between using these post-lift as an auxiliary exercise and pre-lift to pre-exhaust. Generally, I do 3 sets of 15(5each exercise)⁣

継続して行ってきた成果が徐々にでてきたかな、と思います。
地面と自分の距離感もわかってきて下肢の予備緊張もできてきたのか高さがでてきています。
走練習との兼ね合いをきちんと考えながらジャンプトレーニングを長距離も入れることは有効だと考えます。
すぐに走るタイムに直結しなくてもいずれ絶対にプラスになるはずです。

You can intensify your jump training by adding a strength band. It also keeps you performing speed skater lunges correctly. השקיעו 15 דקות בקירור (Cool down) ומתיחות קלות של שרירי הגוף לאחר מאמץ לצורך החזרת האיזון הגופני.

אכלו מזון עשיר בפחמימות ולפחות 20 גרם חלבון לאחר ביצוע המאמץ. תזונה ושתייה מהווים חלק חשוב מהתאוששות.

First time doing a dunk attempt session in 4 weeks! Wasn’t sure how my body would feel since I had to cut down my workouts from 1.5 hours to 50 minutes due to coaching 3.5 - 6 hours per day. I’m glad that I still felt somewhat springy and only lost about an inch since my last dunk attempt session. I can still hang on the rim which is a good sign.  Gotta get that dunk before 2019!

✅ As part of our most recent cycle, we are experimenting with doing all of our work up sets with band resistance and doing our main, top set of the day with straight weight only, with no deficit. We are getting the benefits of using the bands such as enhancing technique and enhanced motor unit recruitment but also experiencing the difficulty of pulling heavy weights from the floor. The deficit makes the pull off of the floor more challenging (where it would normally be less due to using the bands) and at lockout where the bands are more tense. Super excited to see where this takes our lifts!

▪️Early hopping begins in place and can vary with start and end position. For easy transition to hopping, a jump rope is a great option.

🔸After successfully performing static and dynamic hops in place, we progress to double leg multi directional hopping in all the various planes.

▪️Each task is progressed to see where compensations and breakdown occur in the form as well as making sure everything is pain free.

The kneeling popup is a good test of hip and knee mobility as well as lower body power. This can also be used in a workout to prime your body for more demanding plyometric movements such as depth jumps or box jumps. If you want to try it make sure to use a padded surface!

אוכל רק לתת מסגרת כללית לתזונה  עבור כדורגלנים:
מה צריך לאכול? 
כ-55% מהתפריט צריך להכיל פחמימות (דגנים, פסטה, פירות), 20% חלבונים (בשר, חלב, ביצים) ו-25% שומנים (שמן, אגוזים, שקדים, טחינה). תפריט כזה מצייד את השחקן במלאי פחמימות לביצוע האימון או המשחק, מלאי חלבונים לשם שיקום ובניית השרירים ומלאי שומן לשם הגנה על תאי הגוף וספיגת רכיבי מזון. 
זכרו שתזונה נכונה היא חלק בלתי נפרד מההצלחה של הספורטאי. הכל מתחיל במה שאנו מכניסים לפה מהרגע שקמים בבוקר ועד הרגע שהולכים לישון. אפשר להשקיע את כל כולנו באימונים אבל אם לא נשלב זאת עם תזונה נכונה, התוצאות לא תגענה.

From a performance perspective, the glute medius is very active in single support, so lack of strength can impair lateral performance and contribute to hip drop and knee collapse in single leg take off/landing. So we can kill two birds with one stone: posture and knee health! ⁣

I steal a lot from @vandykestrength , I’d highly recommend giving him a follow and reading up on his work. One thing I love is the glute layering system: a series of isometric glute exercises paired with bodyweight movements with the goal of improving hip extension AND the ability to control function of the hip through external rotation and abduction. ⁣
⁣
In the video, side lying abductions are performed in repitition as opposed to isometric holds, with the band increasing the level of difficulty from above the knee to the ankle. Goblet cross lunges after to move the glute through multiple planes. ⁣

Give banded ISO abductions (work up to a minute per side) and cross lunges to jumpstart the glute medius! ⁣

There it is! 100kg hang power snatch @ 70.5kg bw (220lbs @ 155). A 10lbs PR. The funny part is, I'm still so beat up from that 395lbs front squat last week that I had to shut the squats down today at only 315, and deadlifts were pretty awful as well. Power is on point though. Looks like it's time to test the old vertical jump out, catch a sweet, sweet deload, and then start a new training cycle. Nothing to complain about here!
