ONE THOUSAND followers has me jumping for joy like.... shoutout to my giveaway (see previous post for details). To be very candid with y’all, when I first created this account I was VERY focused on follower numbers and it did not have me feeling so great when my page didn’t grow like some of the others I followed. A few months ago I made the decision that this insta was solely for fun, and a great way for me to have a creative outlet/ spread my love for Disney. I have to say that pep talk I had with myself has been a game changer and taken so much pressure off this whole Disneygram thing! Nonetheless a milestone like 1,000 needed some recognition so thanks to you ALL. Also a special shoutout goes to my fellow Disney grammar in the background working it at EMH. •
Yay for awesome Saturday runs! It is the most gorgeous day in Boulder today and I just had to take advantage of it! The leaves are turning, there is a beautiful breeze, and it’s a perfect 62 degrees. Plus I know that it’s supposed to snow tomorrow (😱) so that made me appreciate it even more! I did 5 miles in 43:35 today. Have an amazing day everyone! ☀️✨
Chile was a comedy of errors. Literally nothing went right...just like this failed jumping shot. We were planning on spending a lot more time in Chile, but ended up returning to Argentina after only 5 short days. 🇨🇱 First, we missed the last bus connection of the day in Punta Arenas, so we had to scramble to find a place to stay there and we couldn't change our reservation at a highly recommended hostel in Puerto Natales, so we ended up staying in two pretty terrible hotels in Chile. 🚫
We had grand plans of doing the W trek until we went to a talk about preparing for the trek and very reluctantly decided that it wasn't for us. So we went on a day tour to the Torres Del Paine National Park instead...which ended up being only in Spanish. And it rained almost all day. And I broke my umbrella because it was so windy. And I twisted my ankle. And we never did see the famous Torres del Paine mountains because they were covered in clouds. 💦💨 We were freezing with soaked jeans and shoes when we got back to the hotel. All I wanted was a hot shower. But then they told us we had to move rooms. I was annoyed, but ok until I discovered the wifi didn't reach the new room.
⚠️ That was the last straw. I started crying and curled up in bed. I was miserable...and hungry. So Jan went out and got me a hot dog, with guacamole on it, because that was the only quick food he could find. I ate it in bed - it was one of the best hot dogs of my life because it's exactly what I needed. At least we can laugh about it now.
Chile, we need a re-do.

Jumpin' & foolin' around #Trolltunga . One of the best hikes I've ever been on.
I actually still do remember this day very vividly. It's good idea to fill your life with new adventures, new people and new stuff. It helps your brain to better categorize and remember things much more clearly.
Throwing it back to Saturday’s dry run in Vegas. 🏃🏼♀️Things couldn’t look more different here in Sarasota! This morning post-tempo run I had to do some serious wringing out of my tank, between rain + muggy humidity you’d have thought I just finished swimming! 💦
Training in these conditions is definitely tough and calls for some goal pace adjustment during workouts, but that’s what makes West Coast races so appealing to me! For the last two years, the start line at @runsra_cim has been in the low 40s with no humidity. Just that change in climate alone makes me feel like I’m flying! 52 days to go and I can’t wait!!!
I had a conversation recently with 2 of my closest friends about how even if I don’t try to, I’m still reminded of traumatic anniversary dates.
They’re there like friend’s birthdays or old school friend’s home telephone numbers. Ingrained in my photographic memory & inescapable.
I’m often aware they’re coming up. Other times I manage to forget for a while, only to be reminded out of nowhere bang in the middle of one of those unchangeable dates.
You can’t force your mind to forget, but as these anniversaries come round, you can choose to replace them with new & better memories.
That’s exactly what I did last weekend.
Although I know it can still live strong inside you, the past is gone.
Work through & don’t ignore your emotions, but look forward when you can to the new.
There is so much goodness waiting for you beautiful one!

What a great run! I have been getting out on weekends now because it’s nice to have at least 1 or 2 runs during the week that don’t have a time limit before work and when it’s not dark- compromise is everything! I did 5 miles in 45:15 today and of course I had to take advantage of the daytime light and get a jumping pic! 😜 Feelin good! 💪
Highlights of my DR trip: getting to know my classmates more, nice mountain views, and injecting antibiotics intramuscularly 🍑 // some lowlights were: not being able to 💩, not being able to drink water freely, and having rain on our one free day 🌧
