More variations to come tomorrow! I really liked these balance jumping variations. It’s not super fluid because I was just working with my body, playing around and moving to the beat of the song. Sometimes it’s not about what looks pretty, just what’s fun! And not only was this fun, but I swear, I was sweating super hard after my little workout session.
I’m using one green spring on a Peak Pilates Reformer. That transfers to 1 yellow or 1 blue on Balanced Body reformers. .
Gonna make an appointment to x-ray my right hand. I need to make sure it’s just bruised and not broken or cracked because it hurts when I put pressure on it and open bottles and turn door knobs. So it’s best to know. Let’s hope it’s nothing serious!
Have you taken a Pilates class with the jump board and felt more balanced after? Or maybe your body felt a bit tingly after using the jump board? You might have not realized it, but during your jumping you were most likely releasing lymphatic toxins!
Jumping, or rebounding, has a TON of benefits that include: ✔️being easy on your joints ✔️strengthening cells and improving cardiovascular development ✔️improving immune system function due to lymph flow ✔️improves balance.
The lymphatic system is part of your circulatory system and transports a clear fluid called lymph that flushes toxins from your body. There is an increase in circulation of this fluid when the lymphatic valves are opened during a change in gravitational pull. Particularly this change occurs when you land from a jump and then upon leaving the surface, the lymphatic valves are opened. This surge of lymphatic drainage improves circulation and therefore helps detoxify your system.
