Using our custom Pilates Republic reformers, resistance bands, jumpboards, boxes, and other props, you’ll get a high intensity full body workout that will leave you ready to take on the world. Don’t worry, we turn up the music so no one will hear you use the F-word. .

Jumpboard Series Part II
After the warm-up jumps, it’s time to transition into a different variation. For most of my classes that means some sort of single leg variations.
Here is the pattern: * Few jump with a single leg to get your footing * Supporting leg (the one jumping) starts to trace the Jumpboard in a square pattern to the R/L. * Work the jumping pattern clockwise and counterclockwise

I’m starting a 3 Part Jumpboard series
Jumpboard is the Pilates version of cardio. Slowly yet surely your heart rate goes up during sessions. Honestly, it’s my favorite because it’s so dang fun! Feeling like a kid in class jumping on a trampoline 💯
Start Jumping: * First Position * Second Position * Combo First to Second
* Traditional first to inverted first (big toes touching, heels wide) •11’s 👉🏼 My new favorite move Your feet are apart and parallel and as you jump drop your legs half an inch as you make your way down and up on the board.

Still feeling weighed down by all those yummy carbs 🥧🥔🥖🍷 Tomorrow you have 2 chances to jump with @alyssa.rubin in Level 1.5 at 9am and 1.0 at 3pm 💪💪 In Level 1.5 we will jump on lighter springs to engage the core and allow us to add in choreography.
In Level 1.0 we will work on perfect form for jumping and use slightly heavier springs with shorter jump intervals.
Don’t worry we will still work total body! 💙

Jumpboard week continues...yesterday’s post was an ab warmup, and today’s will wake up the legs! I’m working on a green spring, sped up 2x and only doing a few of each rep, where normally I would teach 10 of each variation. Starting with some bridging and articulation (brutal on the hamstrings on that light spring!), and continuing with single leg jumps. The non-jumping leg gets to have a nice stretch in the theraband. I’ll start jumping in parallel and continue with sets of externally and internally rotated jumps. I LOVE teaching the foot only jumps towards the end! I’ll also teach them in parallel, external and internal rotation. Not only are they awesome foot, ankle & calf strengtheners, but it’s a great way to teach the foot articulation that is supposed to happen during the bigger jumps (we’ve all seen the tip toe jumpers!). Reward your class with the stretches at the end. Elizabeth has been improving her pelvic stability, ankle strength, glute strength, quad strength and endurance. This exercise is really tough but she’s making it look effortless and she’s stabilising really well and maintaining control! 👌👏
