Tomorrow is not just another day, today we close the door to the past, open the door to the future, as we both start a new chapter in our lives. Cesar starts a new job tomorrow, and I’m so so proud of him and how far he’s come in his career. His dedication, perseverance, and passion are inspiring to me. Tomorrow is also a new beginning for me as I received a promotion at work, and for the first time ever I’m stepping out of my (comfortable) customer service role and I’m now part of the Sales Administration team. I couldn’t be more excited and nervous! This is only the beginning of our journey to success. Here’s to new beginnings! 🥂 #hardworkpaysoffs#newbeginnings#arewetalkingteams#success#goals#dreams#focus#hardwork#lifestyle#hustle#ourowngoals#powercouple#love#team#journeyofalifetime
"Ask yourself, What you want to be in Life and not Who you want to be."
- from the book, 'When the Road Beckons'by Ravi Manoram.
Day 14: 31.07.17-
It was time we said goodbye to Leh; a destination we dreamt of and a dream we fulfilled. With wishes of coming back, the journey continued. We still had a couple of places to see before our next destination.
The first one was Rancho School; the school that gained stardom coz of the movie 3 idiots. It truly stands as a symbol of strength that knowledge cannot be deterred by a harsh terrain and climate. The second place was Hemis Monastery; the largest monastery in Leh.
We crosses through the gushing waters of the Indus River and reached 'Tsomoriri' Everyone on a trip to Leh, always has Pangong on their list and thinks of it as the most beautiful lake, but wait till you see Tsomoriri, it will surely make the choice tough. The night at the camp was one of its kind, with chilly winds blowing at high speed, we thought our tents would definitely crash. But as everything else in Leh, it stood strong through the cold night.
Thinking back, this day brought a weird thought in my mind, that does ever Tsomoriri wish to be like and compete with Pangong and be tagged as the best. We all aspire to be the best and compare ourselves with something or someone that a majority of people consider the best. In the process of conforming to that set benchmark, we put efforts in minimizing our flaws but forget to see what we are best at.
Sitting by the banks of Tsomoriri, I realize it just stands true to what it is, not confirming to anything around it and that's what makes it beautiful, coz it never thinks who it wants to be like, but always knows what it wants to be like; Its Own True Self.

PS: Do not even think of skipping Tsomoriri on your trip to Leh. Its waiting there to bowl you over with its pristine beauty.
My lesson for the day!
If any of you missed the BBD deadline with @jameswedmore start making a savings plan now to get in on the next one. It's been ONE day and I've accomplished more than I do in half a week and that's because I stayed up until 2am geeking out on the course.
A beginning and end photo of my two month long trip in #Africa to paddle the #BlueNile from the source to the Sahara. I started the trip exactly one year ago, strong and healthy and ended... well, less strong and 18 lbs lighter. 📸 @berek187 #journeyofalifetime#eatgoodfood#TIA

Lake Sorvagsvatn, also known as Leitisvatn is 3.4 square kilometres big and the largest in the Faroe Islands. The lake is also known as "the lake over the ocean ". A hike reaching the famous viewpoint is where you can see the fantastic view. Seen from a particular spot, the angle functions as an optical illusion cheating your eyes to think the lake is actually hovering directly over the ocean. Hiking in the Faroe Islands is where you get to enjoy the calm from the rest of the world.
~ The day I got lost - Alone ~
The morning was extremely bright and sunny . We considered it our luck.
Out of 7 of us , I, @juan_pabloms and @mikewest209 decided to trek to our next destination - Lobuche (4,940 m) and others decided to take a rest day to acclimatise. Which I realised later was much needed !
So we left from Lobuche around 8 in the morning .
Snow capped Himalayas could really be seen under the bright sun☀️ .
We were walking above 4000m of altitude and approaching 5000m. It wasn’t easy. My pace was decreasing with every step. Mike, the fittest I feel , was pretty fast and so I , and Juan ( forcefully- because of me ) were left behind 🙈
The way was barren for some time . No specific trail . Also Not that steep .
On the way we bumped into a group of Vietnam people 🇻🇳. Guess they were 7!
The loveliest and the most helpful souls I had met en route EBC!
They weren’t that fluent with English and Language was definitely a problem but never a barrier !
We connected ! -The trail got us connected ! 😊🇳🇵 Meanwhile , bad weather took over ! In no time, the sun was gone. And it was all misty !
Soon Started drizzling. Looking at the sun in the morning , I had taken off all my waterproof gears ! -Bad decision.
So I stopped for a while , just to take out my Waterproof jacket , poncho, backpack’s rain cover , gaiters and gloves and wore them all.
Little did I realise I was left behind - alone . That would have not been an Issue in normal weather - but that time is was all misty. 0 visibility . I was calm for sometime cuz had no idea how bad it could be.
Started walking ahead not realising I was going in the wrong direction .. As mentioned before , ‘There wasn’t a fixed trail’ and nothing could be seen ! The weather was only getting worse .
After walking for half an hour in the wrong direction - screaming everyone’s name - I realised I was lost!
Badly lost - in the Himalayas - with not a single soul around me - in the misty weather - I was lost . ( continued in next post)
