I wactually quite like this spread but not how this photo turned out :’( sorry if I’m a little inactive next week because I haven’t had much inspiration to journal lately
how do you keep motivated? I’ve been so lazy lately especially with completing school work :’-)
A luces duras, sombras duras.
👉🏼Y por si fuera poco aprendizaje de la semana: tener un respaldo extra!
Remembering our extraordinary Aretha Franklin and the memories she gave us... She was born during #WW2 , and she was known for her role in civil rights. "Inducted to the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2012, Franklin was described as "the voice of the civil rights movement," "the voice of black America" and a "symbol of black equality." She will forever be America's "Queen of Soul." And one of my most favorite songs of all time is her "Respect."❤️🎼🌹 Aretha Franklin will be forever missed and cherished in my heart and in all of our hearts.❤️🌹 ---- 📖 Remembering her life: "Aretha Louise Franklin (March 25, 1942 – Aug. 16, 2018) was an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. She began her career as a child singing gospel at New Bethel Baptist Church in Detroit, where her father, C. L. Franklin, was minister. In 1960, at the age of 18, she embarked on a secular career, recording for Columbia Records... After signing to Atlantic Records in 1967, Franklin achieved commercial acclaim and success with songs such as "Respect," "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman," "Spanish Harlem," and "Think." ---- "By the end of the 1960s she was being called "The Queen of Soul". Franklin recorded acclaimed albums such as "I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You" (1967), "Lady Soul" (1968), "Young, Gifted and Black," (1972) and "Amazing Grace" (1972) before experiencing problems with her record company by the mid-1970s. ...Franklin left Atlantic and signed with Arista Records, finding success with the albums "Jump to It" (1982) and "Who's Zoomin' Who?" (1985), and her part in the 1980 film "The Blues Brothers." ---- "In 1998, Franklin received international acclaim for singing the opera aria "Nessun dorma" at the Grammy Awards that year, replacing Luciano Pavarotti. Later that year, she scored her final Top 40 song with "A Rose Is Still a Rose"... She won 18 Grammy Awards, including the first eight awards given for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance from 1968 through 1975, and is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, having sold over 75 million records worldwide." ---- "Franklin received numerous honors throughout her career..." Headaches may have disrupted my plans for Friday evening. So will need to make a lovely catch up plan instead 😊 ...but the tension release was good.
Not sure if it's the weather change or just my week in general. Change in weather recently (rain and darker evenings), bringing about the seasons and a sign of change. Talking things through my those I trust, thinking, reflecting, planning, making the most of things and writing it down. Making it real.
There is nothing like writing ink on a page and seeing the words stare back at you. Those ink erasers were all lies 😉, so writing in ink feels somewhat real and permanent. It really captures a moment in time. The good, the bad and the ugly.
Although I may need to sign up to a calligraphy class after looking at my handwriting tonight 👩🏫✍😳
Fun fact: I’m the funny one in the family! 😂 Jokes for days.... this picture is a perfect example of my husband being a hater. He wants to laugh at my jokes so bad but he’s too afraid to let me be great!🤣😂 #typical#wifelife#momlife#mom 📷: @christinemichellephotography
Tú TE MERECES UN AMOR QUE SEA PARA TI, UN AMOR RESPONSIBLE, UN AMOR QUE SEA LEAL, UN AMOR QUE SEA INCONDICIONAL, AMOR QUE NO VE A NINGÚN OTRO CORAZÓN SI NO AL TUYO PARA AMAR, UN AMOR QUE NO LE TIENE MIEDO A AMARTE. Esta es la relación que te MERECES, pero primero tienes que dejar ir y decidir que lo que te MERECES necesita un corazón que se está sanando. @christinemichellephotography did such a great job with our family photoshoot over the summer. We love how she captured the realness of our everyday life. It’s time for another photoshoot because we all look different already. 😂😩 #babyboy#momlife#wifelife
