This week is all about the dreams... Yosef's two dreams that didn't go over too well with his older brothers and the dreams of the butler and the baker (no, there is no candlestick maker in this story). 'And he again dreamed another dream, and he related it to his brothers, and he said, "Behold, I have dreamed another dream, and behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were prostrating themselves to me."' -- Genesis 37:9
In dreams, anything can happen. The impossible seems probable and opposites are one. Fire and water are friends and ships sail the skies. When we're awake, everything happens in a rationally defined fashion. We know that fire and water don't mix. so they don't. We know that without wings and engines and fuel ships aren't leaving the sea. So they don't. While it's important to keep our wits about us, to know what the natural order of the universe is, and to approach the world with intelligence, there is something unique about the imaginative quality of dreams. Without dreaming, the improbably becomes the impossible, and the impossible never happens, we know that nothing extraordinary can ever happen, so we don't even try. Dreams are important - the ones we dream while asleep and the ones we dream while awake. The first rain of the new season fell down at Joseph’s Dream Appaloosas and settled the dust of our ceasing dry season! Fresh air fills us all with fresh energy and our horses are celebrating! We are blessed and grateful! 🌱
WHOM WILL YOU OBEY?
Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more. So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.” And his brothers said to him, “Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have DOMINION over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words. - Genesis 37:5-8 .
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have DOMINION over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” - Genesis 1:26-28 .
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have DOMINION over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. - Romans 6:12-16, 18 .
Hi guys! Cool picture huh? Although I get charged up reading, studying, connecting historical/biblical dots, I never want to neglect how I was changed when I met Jesus through a dream. Because I had never grown up with biblical teaching, there was a spiritual longing that took me down some pretty crazy paths. I believed joining the occult brought an acceptance, identity, etc.. Little did I know the doors I had opened held a huge price tag. It took one year of battling the demonic realm (almost nightly) before I was set free. If I could roll back the earthly veil to peer into the realm of the unknown no one would dabble in the occult. What I learned as an early Christian is that God speaks in our language. Joseph (Jacob’s son) sees wheat bowing down and skinny cows eating fat cows. His father was a farmer. Of course he would be given allegorical pictures that relate to his life/circumstances. If he had dreams of sailing on ships, the allegory would not make sense. I’ve been told that interpreting dreams is demonic because we are trying to peer into the future like a psychic. I do not see where Joseph (of Mary and Joseph) used witchcraft to hear from God. Joseph (Jacob’s son) did not use witchcraft to hear from God. Daniel interpreted dreams because God granted him the ability. None of these men claimed to be the dream whisperer. They believed God would reveal the interpretations if He had given the dreams. The Uncreated God of Heaven and earth is able to do anything He wants; anyway He wants. Many leaders in churches teach that everything in the Bible was for that particular time period. And yet the Bible says there is nothing new under the sun and that God never changes. If that is true I believe He still uses dreams to get our attention from time to time. “If” He has spoken I will seek to know why... (Was it direction, encouragement or a warning?) If a dream is from my subconscious I will also seek to know why. (Stress, fear, poor choices?) I would never want to discount or cheapen the things of God because of someone else’s fears. Photo: spiritual might be viewed as baptism. Death of old man into new life. Natural:drowning in debt, etc
Great Bkids Sunday school ⛪️ lesson yesterday still on Joseph and how his brothers didn't recognise him when they came for grain 🙌🏽🙏🏽. When you're in Gods will don't let people distract you from the dreams Hes put inside you. They may not even recognise you when you fulfill it 👍😍 @bcauckland @olivialeavasa #bkids#josephsdream#egypt#godinterprets#masks#brothers
‚A thousand horse and none to ride! -
With flowing tail, and flying mane,
Wide nostrils never stretched by pain,
Mouths bloodless to the bit or rein,
And feet that iron never shod,
And flanks unscarred by spur or rod,
A thousand horse, the wild, the free,
Like waves that follow o'er the sea,
Came thickly thundering on...' .
~ Lord Byron, XVII, Mazeppa, 1818
It is just pure inspiration to watch the girls powerfully leave into the field in the early mornings! They roam freely and they always freely choose to come home to us before the day sets... 💫
Have to share these cute snapshots from this passed week as they tell such lovely stories of our latest arrivals settling in…
The first one shows Lady Grace and Rain in a tender moment after Gracie had quiet some issues with Rain coming into her group only two weeks ago… the second one shows another new family member, little Belle finally permitted by mom Sunny to play and hang out with new friend Chevaughn… which means we can prepare her soft weaning process for mom to get back to strength…
Little happy moments from the daily life of the Joseph’s Dream family! ❤️
‘Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.’
- Harriet Tubman
Our beautiful Debby Rain is a direct daughter of the legendary Drea Eagle’s Dandy and we cannot wait to see her first foal born at @josephs_dream_appaloosas in nearby future! 💕
SHOWTIME 2018 💫
And this little superstar is our precious little Chevaughn. (Seen here with Teddy-baby-winter-furr in her first official photoshoot ;)) She is the baby of the Joseph’s Dream Family since her arrival six month ago and stole everybody’s heart since! Within the family she is still affectionately called ‘Kleintjie’ which is Afrikaans for ‘little one’. She is small in size still but huge in manner! An amazing young girl, only 11 months old and perfectly behaved. We have big hopes for this little girl for our future children therapy program at Joseph’s Dream!
Her full studbook proper name is Kondos Chevaughn and her sire is no one less than the stunning and multiple SA national champion Kondos Moonbeat!
Chevaughn is a real sweetheart and it might be that within the family she will always stay ‘Kleintjie; as she was the first foal arriving here at only 5 months of age!
This young girl is still a child and only going to 'pre-prime school' within the Joseph’s Dream training program and learning proper ground manners and trust before focussing on showing etiquette; so her dusty, natural playing-around photos will reveal her quality and personality better than any posing after a proper wash! 😉
We love this little teddybear and her calm and settled personality and looking forward to some great teenager training years together and a loooong and happy life at Joseph’s Dream! Her big heart will certainly change lives around!
SHOWTIME 2018 💫
We feel exciting to introduce our precious Noah today to all of you out there!
Noah is 5 years and 10 months old and his studbook proper name is Nightingales Ultimate Applause. He is the last son of the legendary Nightingales San Domingo and carries excellent South African Appaloosa bloodlines. He is bred by Ros Nightingale at the Nightingales Appaloosa Stud in SA. Noah found his way to us unplanned and God given and is now one of our greatest blessings! Thank you, Ros for making this all possible! ⭐
As he is the only matured stallion at this stage at Joseph’s Dream he will be the sire of our foals for the upcoming breeding season!
More than anything we wish for each and everyone of his offspring to inherit his outstanding temperament! He is an extremely well balanced and intelligent horse, whose eyes never stop talking! Noah, we treasure you dearly within the Josephs Dream family and are excited about what the future is holding ready for you! 💛
Noah only recently started his daily training with Jakob at Josephs Dream and is enjoying every minute of it, ready to build up some muscles now and get in shape for his girls! 💪😉
Our three new beauties at Joseph’s Dream are still recovering from the lack of care and feed they had to suffer during their travel odyssey, but their beautiful spirits and amazing quality already start shining through their still poor condition and we decided its time to introduce them to you! ⭐
Our latest addition to the Joseph’s Dream family are the four year old chestnut blanket Lulus Tiger's Sunstone and her first foal Lulus Wap’s La Belle, both bred by Mandy Serdyn at the Lulus Appaloosa stud in SA! Belle is a half sister to our young Joseph! 💛 Both girls are of exceptional quality and we are very grateful for having them at Joseph’s Dream! Thank you, Mandy Serdyn for entrusting us with these true beauties!
The last one in the round is a half sister to our dear Lady Grace; it is Perdeberg Eagle’s Debonaire, a proud daughter of the legendary Drea Eagle’s Dandy! This gorgeous lady is bred by the Perdeberg stud in SA and found her way to us through Mandy and Ruth! Her Joseph’s Dream family name shall be Rain as she was arriving together with Sunny and is promising big blessings for our stud! Thank you, Mandy and Ruth Leisegang for making this journey to us possible for her!
We wish all three ladies an amazing and long life here with us at Joseph’s Dream! Welcome from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️
