#420Massacre : A group of five women go camping in the woods to celebrate a friend's birthday over 4/20 weekend. But when they cross the turf of an illegal marijuana grow operation they must struggle to survive the living nightmare. #Review : This my friends is the perfect example of indie horror done right. Literally blew my expectations out of the water because honestly judging by the plot I wasn’t expecting much. 😂 But boy was I wrong! From the opening sequence I knew I was in for a treat. It was well set up & instantly grabbed my attention. From there we dive right into the story. While the plot is fairly simple it is backed by a strong pace, great execution, a fun & quirky soundtrack, & surprisingly good camera work. The casting is spot on. The girls have a genuine bond between them & their conversations felt natural & authentic. Shoutout to whoever wrote the script, they did a great job of blending humorous dialogue & more emotional scenes. Speaking of which, I LOVE how badass, strong, & determined the final girl was. Don’t worry I won’t spoil it for you. 🤫 The sheriff & the killer also delivered strong performances & I really enjoyed how the story unfolded. Specifically the killers reveal & backstory. Speaking of The Killer his costume is amazing. I couldn’t stop laughing when I first saw it. Definitely fitting for the movie. 🍁 The best part of this movie is the kills. Oh my lanta where they inventive as hell & gruesome. Great effects! I honestly have no complaints for this movie because I had such a fun time watching it! If you love low budget slashers this ones for you. #Rating : 4 Out Of 5 (Also shoutout to @horrorpack for making this their exclusive last month! So happy to have it in my collection. Definitely a new favorite.)

Lounging on the wooden floor as the little ball of energy known as Millie romps around with either her chewy bone or fluff toy. The simplicity and freedom of a puppy. Casual updates and ideas of van life begin to stir the air. .
A jet lagged exploration of Central Park. Spring sun paired with Japanese blossoms. Resting upon the grass, gazing up through the branches to the infinite universe. .
The familiar warmth and energy from a dear friend. Striped shirt on the outside, massive heart on the inside. A wave of calm and comfort as well as admirations crests before descending upon the weekend.
Just some waking reflections as I visit @marleepandl And crew here in New York City 🌃 .
Took me awhile to get this done but currently watching Trilogy Of Terror (1975) starring the beautiful Karen Black!
Plot Summary: Three stories interwoven together. The first, about a college student infatuated with his teacher. The second, a paranoid tale of two sisters - one good, the other evil, and the third about an African tribal doll that comes to life and terrorizes a woman in her apartment. #TrilogyOfTerror#KarenBlack#RobertBurton#JohnKarlen#GeorgeGaynes#JimStorm#GregoryHarrison#Horror
Lifetime buddies Joe Voss (left) and Johnny Barber (right) worked together at Jim Storm Quest paintball field in Malibu, California from 1983 until 1985 when Storm's lease was transferred to Dave Bassman and the field name was changed to Conquest. In this photo, Voss and Barber look over a pair of Mod 85 paintball pistols. These paintball markers were built by firearms manufacturer Para Ordnance in 1985 and were one of the first semi and full auto paintguns for launching paint pellets.
Since #October and #autumn are both sadly coming to an end, I thought there was nothing more fitting than to bring you all an #Octoberquote for this final #Octoberweekend .
This #quote by #JimStorm really caught my eye as it not only catches the #autumnbeauty in the #elegant way in which #nature gradually changes, but also in the way that #people are like #trees . We gradually change -we have different aspects to our #personality . Sides that we may never show people and sides that gradually get shown as #time passes and we grow more #comfortable , both in our selves and around those people we spend more time with.
Happy October everyone and have a fabulous Halloween. - Pod 🍂
Sorry for the late post, yesterday just got away from me. Last night's selection for the 8th Night of Fear was THE VEIL (2016), a supernatural horror film directed by Phil Joanou (GRIDIRON GANG, HEAVEN'S PRISONERS), produced by Jason Blum (GET OUT, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY) and starring Jessica Alba (SIN CITY, FANTASTIC FOUR), Lily Rabe ("AMERICAN HORROR STORY", "THE WHISPERS"), Thomas Jane (THE MIST, DREAMCATCHER), Aleksa Palladino ("HALT AND CATCH FIRE", "BOARDWALK EMPIRE"), Shannon Woodward ("WESTWORLD", "RAISING HOPE"), Reid Scott ("VEEP", "THE BIG C"), Lenny Jacobson (JOBS, "FREQUENCY"), Jack DeSena ("AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER"), David Sullivan (ARGO, PRIMER), Ivy George (BIG LITTLE LIES) & Jim Storm ("ONE LIFE TO LIVE", "DARK SHADOWS"). The plot revolves around the only survivor (Rabe) of a cult mass suicide who returns to the abandoned compound 25 years later with a group of documentary filmmakers to find answers. Once they arrive, odd and mysterious occurrences begin to convince them they're not alone.
This film had an interesting premise and solid leads in Rabe, Alba & Jane, but the execution left much to be desired. It's a good time waster and probably should be viewed at least once.....#30NightsOfFear#TheVeil#PhilJoanou#JessicaAlba#LilyRabe#IvyGeorge#AleksaPalladino#ReidScott#ThomasJane#ShannonWoodward#JackDeSena#LennyJacobson#DavidSullivan#JimStorm#SupernaturalHorror#HorrorMovieMarathon#TheGeekMansion
Every year on my birthday I celebrate not only life itself but all the beautiful friendships I cherish so much. Friends, my chosen family, I am so thankful and grateful for all of you. For sharing my joy and sadness the highs and lows wherever I go from Hawaii to Norway across the world. I feel blessed because of YOU. Thank you. Let's share the ride around the sun for the next 365 days. #friends#friendship#blessed#gratitude#birthday phot by #jimstorm @jvstorm1
"She is a beautiful piece of broken pottery, put back together by her own hands. And a critical world judges her cracks while missing the beauty of how she made herself whole again."
"Maybe I loved you in another life and I promised you that I would find you, somewhere on the other side or maybe you've always been in my subconscious. Nudging me this way and pulling me that way until I found you. I don't know. But I do know I have felt you more than one life should allow."
