We need everyone now, these whales are out of time. Please help us #savethesouthernresidentorcas by asking @govinslee to #breachthedams now in 2018. 🐳💙🐳💙🐳
Repost @coextinctionfilm ・・・
Join an international protest to save the Southern Resident Killer Whales from extinction! We only have 1 MONTH to act!
Here’s what to do:
1. Call Gov Jay Inslee asking for the 4 Lower Snake River Dams to be breached in 2018 and for a ban on Chinook salmon fishing (call +1-360-902-4111)
2. Use the hashtag #WeAreTheOrca and tweet @govinslee @usacehq @noaa @bonnevillepower asking for the same. If we get it trending on Twitter we can really shake things up! .
3. We are also calling on teachers and parents around the world! Have your students or children create an orca, salmon or Salish Sea artwork and send us a photo of it so we can share it! ✊
A final decision about the dams will be proposed on November 16th. Hurry, join in, tag your friends and share this video before it’s too late!
@jonvenus // “The standard practices of the meat, egg, and dairy industries are unbearable to watch, I think it would be horrible for anyone to witness. It’s not our fault but no one really knows what goes on in those industries until they take the time to educate themselves”
I went to a cube in Salem on Saturday. Sometimes it's really difficult to talk to people who are so resistant to change. Seriously, why is anyone resistant to having a more sustainable and peaceful planet for everyone? Why is this something people want to argue against? Why should the destruction, exploitation and needless killing continue? Because of something as arbitrary as taste? Really? I will never understand and it sometimes brings me down. And yet, we are all responsible to bring about the change that we want to see.
On this same day, a man I talked to at a cube a few months ago approached me and told me that our conversation was so enlightening that not only has he gone vegan, but his restaurant that he owns is 100% vegan now as well. We high fived. Silver linings. Activism works. We just have to be willing to get out there and get involved. 🌠
@arianagrande // “I love animals more than I love most people, not kidding. But I am a firm believer in eating a full plant-based, whole food diet that can expand your life length and make you an all-around happier person.”
International Cube Day is November 3rd. Find a chapter near you and attend; not only on this day, but every day that you can. If there isn't a chapter in your area, then start one! Let's speak up for the animals who have been silenced by human habits and greed.
Beautiful, smart, innocent baby enjoying an 🍎. How sad is it that most pigs in this world aren’t as lucky. They are seen just as product and in return they see humans as monsters. Let’s change the relationship. Let’s give them love and safety. Let’s be their heroes. //
@jamesaspey // “To treat these animals more kindly, we gotta stop our contribution to their suffering. There are millions of vegan recipes out there that will replace the killing with kindness. Being vegan has brought a certain peace to my life that is unparalleled. It feels good to know they aren’t dying because of my choices anymore. It’s a path to peace, better health and a better world.”
They say you are what you eat right? So why not be a rainbow! 🍅🥕🍋🥦🍆 An awesome shot of a table in our restaurant packed with delicious locally sourced ingredients • vegan and vegetarian options available!
We don't have time to wait for our governments to take action. We are all accountable for our own consumption habits. Are our unnecessary habits worth destroying the planet for everyone? We are eating our way to extinction and destroying our only home. We are causing an immense amount of suffering to animals, our own health and our planet. We can't rely on others to save us. Our governments only care about making profits. The only way to change the world is if we change ourselves first. Please educate yourselves on what is happening to our planet. No amount of prayers can undo the consequences of our needless habits.

Ok. So we go to the @greenlionroar for a quick bite to eat before a movie... and i am absolutely gobsmacked! Yes, me, gobsmacked. I was standing right next someone who i totally respect. Someone who doesn't sell records and isnt a movie star but is more powerful. This guy is a massive animal activist, who I have been following for about 18 months now. @corey_morrison007 (my hubby) even loves him, in fact he is the guy i showed to corey to stop eating meat. There is something so gentle yet direct and clear in his delivery and no one can get angry with him, he is so down to earth and likable. I had to fan myself at dinner for about 15 mins and kept getting teary, i had to hide lol
Lucky i have an amazing husband who gets me and asked if we could get a pic with him. He said "sorry mate, as u can tell my wife lost her shit when she saw you, any chance of a pic?" Thank you @jamesaspey for all that you do, you do it so well, sending you strength and good energy. 💜🧡💛💚💙 #vegan#jamesaspey#animalactivist#lovethemdonteatthem#bestveganburgers#bestveganparma#respect#govegan#followthisguy
#Vegan as if 2017
Why?: I realized that I don't want to hurt animals through my consumption anymore.
What motivates you:
It's such an awesome change to make. For the animals, the environment and also for my own well-being. Of the body and the soul.
Most powerful tool for the movement:
Great motivators like James Aspey and Earthling Ed. Also movies like Dominion and Earthlings.
Advice for new Plant Based and Vegan men:
Just do it. Overcome stupid macho thinking that men have to eat meat etc. It's a gentle and powerful revolution to change the world for better.
Extra credit question: favorite plant-based/vegan meal:
Indian curries are the best.
Love this guy!! This exactly:

She’s an animal farmer. In other words, she exploits animals for money and sends them off to be shot in their head and have their throats cut open.
She thought I was judging her. I wasn’t. Who am I to judge? I paid for animals to be tortured and killed so I could eat their bodies and drink their babies milk for 26 years.
She assumed I thought she was a terrible person. I don’t. She’s probably a very nice lady who, like the rest of us, has been born into a culture that has normalised impregnating, enslaving and murdering certain animals that we find tasty and easy to dominate. A culture that has taught us to go against our innate sense of compassion, justice, non-violence and respect.
She wouldn’t let me explain. I wanted to tell her that she’s not my enemy. That it wasn’t her fault. None of us knew any better. We didn’t realise how much pain we were causing. We didn’t think about things from the victims point of view. We didn’t know there was another way to live where we get our nutrient from plants rather than the corpses of non-human people who wanted to live just as much as you and I.
She was offended I would assume her animals were treated badly. She said, “You guys are so blinkered!” I asked her what happens to her animals. She said, “euthanasia”. Euthanasia!?! So who is wearing the blinkers here?
Breeding animals for the sole purpose of killing them while they are still children, chopping them up into pieces and selling their body parts is not in their best interest. It is not “euthanasia”. It is cold blooded murder. They trust us and we betray them in the worst way imaginable.
I couldn’t get through to her. She wouldn’t give me the opportunity to speak. I know she’ll read this, though. She told me she would. So this next part is for her.
If you’re ever ready to transition to ethical farming, FarmKind.org can help you. Vegans don’t hate farmers, we just want the cycle of death to end.
I wish you all the best in your life and hope one day you are able to open your mind enough to give this perspective the consideration it deserves. A better world is possible and we all hav
“A growing number of men are speaking out against animal cruelty and countering the archaic message promoted by the meat industry that it's manly to eat meat.
Documentaries like Dominion and Earthlings have awakened many men to the atrocities inflicted on animals in commercial animal production facilities. Animals are treated this way solely for the purposes of satisfying our taste buds and making some people money. Yet, science demonstrates that these animals have the same capacity to suffer as humans.
In this day and age, it is easy to find delicious and nutritious food that does not contain animal products or facilitate animal cruelty. Further, a growing body of evidence shows that a well planned, whole food, plant-based diet is not only nutritionally sound, it reduces the risks of myriad chronic diseases.

Another PIECE OF SHIT human abusing an animal that can’t POSSIBLY understand the bullshit coming out of this “mans” mouth...
He says “if I ever see you again..,,” while the goats front legs are tied together.
TRULY I hope this man is identified, educated about his monstrous behaviour and frankly, needs to know how it feels since his brain doesn’t seem to be able to guide him compassionately.
This video footage is disturbing but of course is a tiny drop in the ocean of hate and abuse. .
I wish this man to find enlightenment - failing that, I wish someone would tie him up AND do whatever HE has done to defenceless animals, to HIM.
