I bought this pretty lil G way back in 2016 with grand plans for it in my house. I made a handful of these for friends & family inside a wreath (cue super deep scan thru IG for that date to my 2nd post! lol) I saved it for something special to make for myself. And finally 3 years later I decided to do something with it (always putting yourself last, sound familiar #amiright . I’ve been putting it off, staring at it hanging half painted on my gallery wall (for realz lol). Exciting to finally make something for myself! I see a future collaboration with @laserdesignco because I’m loving this #hellochristmasgifts#makingwithmichaels#pleasestockthemagain#g#yqg#notacopier#jacobean

St Peter’s Church, Riddlesworth, lies adjacent to the preparatory school in Riddlesworth Hall. I had been told that the church was locked but my luck was in and I met the school’s Music Master just leaving the church (where I suspect he had been enjoying some solitude and quiet time). Without being asked he opened up for me and I stepped inside. For a manorial church it was surprisingly ‘homely’. In particular my eyes were drawn to the Jacobean pulpit and font cover which were pleasingly ‘rustic’ #riddlesworth#church#churches#medieval#jacobean#victorian#light#woodcarving#history#heritage#norfolk#eastanglia

★ William Shakespeare, 'Timon of Athens, The Man-Hater' (1678)
Shakespeare's 'Timon of Athens' is one of the two greatest Restoration productions of Shakespeare. This is the first edition of Shadwell’s adaptation of the play – the version that dominated the stage through the end of the 18th century.

This is the exceptionally rare 1681 first edition of Shakespeare's 'King Lear' in the revival of Nahum Tate, printed in quarto at London in 1681 by Flesher for Bentley and Magnes, with the famous 'happy ending' in which Lear survives and Cordelia and Edgar wed.
★ William Shakespeare, 'Othello, The Moor of Venice. A Tragedy' (1705)
The 1705 final quarto edition of 'Othello' by William Shakespeare, was printed in quarto at London in 1705 by Wellington, preserving important text and stage directions from the 1622 and 1630 stage performances that were not printed in the 1623 first folio.

Some kids really enjoy being in the kitchen and helping out. Most kids aren’t tall enough for it. Here’s the solution! A kitchen helper stool. They can climb up and the patents don’t need to worry about them falling off the stool. Made this one with solid birch then stained with Minwax Jacobean...then a coat of whip-on poly. Client was happy and so am I 😀🥣👩👧👨👧 #kitchen#kitchenhelper#birch#wood#woodworking#minwaxstain#minwax#minwaxjacobean#jacobean
This intriguing portrait [previously with Philip Mould & Co.] appears on first sight to depict a young girl, of the age of about three. Indeed, it was sold as such in the early nineteenth century, when the sitter was thought to be Elizabeth Stuart, the daughter of James I commonly known as the “Winter Queen”. The sitter is in fact a boy, and wears the traditional dress worn by all children in their earliest years. The shuttlecock and battledore mark him out as enjoying more masculine games, and a similar pattern can be seen in the lost portrait of Prince Rupert of the Rhine, of whom an engraved portrait exists showing the same pose, and at about the same age as sitter here. A girl might instead hold a comb or simply a rattle. The face is also, on close inspection, clearly intended to show a boy. #GameSetMatch#Badminton#shuttlecock#historiccostume#angloflemish#17thcenturyart#jacobean#youngboy#game#dress#pattern#garment#fashion#oldmaster @artgarments

My 30th birthday present to me. I'd been putting off getting a proper scabbard for the @arms_armor1 1580 Parrying Dagger for nearly ten years. I commissioned @davisreproductions about a month ago to make a scabbard and work up a wire-wrapped grip to replace the aging leather one. Spectacular work all around. I had him add a staple on the back to loop through the belt as seen on some surviving pieces. #16thcentury#17thcentury#fencing#rapier#elizabethan#sword#dagger#jacobean#armsandarmor#armor#armour
