Admiral Piett, General Veers and Gamorrean Guard – Star Wars Black Series Exclusives Gallery
Star Wars Black Series is all over the place right now with late waves, store exclusives and hard to find figures. Today we are taking a look at some of the exclusives floating around. Admiral Piett is an online exclusive, available at several stores including site sponsor Entertainment Earth. General Veers uses his same base body but adds ground assault gear to rep his Empire Hoth attack look, and he’s exclusive to Walgreens. The Gamorrean Guard came out a bit ago, and is a Target exclusive. There is also a Mimban Trooper exclusive to Wal Mart and Bespin Escape Leia over at Target (which we will look at later, in progress). And that’s just what’s relatively new, there were several other exclusives earlier in the year, including cancelled TRU ones that half leaked out. Couple this with a new Solo Wave that is out, but not even online for Pre-Order and tons of shown but not solicited items at Toy Fair and SDCC, and woofa. It’s the wild west out here.
We are going to try and run some catch up here with a look at Piett, Veers and the Gamorrean Guard. All 3 are OT and well done, worthy of a pick up. While the Imperial ranked officers make sense to litter around as exclusives, the Guard being exclusive is crazy, especially since he’s a troop builder. And awesome. Great paint, fur that doesn’t suck, accessories – it’s a winner. Hopefully he gets a modified but wider release later.
Read on to check out all 3 after the break courtesy of Entertainment Earth!
Finally have my Jabba the Mug mug from #thinkgeek 😍 Very happy with the mug itself, but had a few issues finally getting one that did not arrive in a million pieces 🤦🏽♀️ Worth the wait though. Holds 20 oz. (way too much coffee 😂) He definitely looks like he is trying to fit into a mug warmer that is way too small for him 🤣 #jabbathemug#newmugtuesday#jabbathehut#starwars#starwarsfan#jabba
#Inktober Day 6 - Nee Jabba No Badda: As the self-claimed Jedi starts making demands, he slows crosses the room towards the all mighty Hutt’s throne. #Drooling , Jabba thinks to himself, “Just a little closer, young fool. Every step brings you closer to your doom”. For today’s drawing, I have substituted my wife in the place of Leia and our Dachshund, Sookie, as Jabba’s monkey/lizard court jester, Salacious B. Crumb.
In May of 1983, a 5 year old CJ sits in Preschool, unaware that his uncle is about to pull him from school for the day to go see Return of the Jedi. Being 5, I had no idea what Star Wars was or who all of these strange charters were, but that did not matter. From the moment I saw two robots arguing with a giant space worm, I was down for whatever came next, which ended up being filled with Lasers Sword fights, Muppets, and a huge Space Battle. I can’t remember when I saw a New Hope or Empire for the first time, but I will never forget watching Return of the Jedi in the theaters, opening week, just because my uncle thought it was be a great experience to share with me.
