This is Trajan’s Column. It was completed in 113 AD and was erected in honor of the Roman Emperor Trajan’s victory in the Dacian Wars. It is the most prominent architectural feature in Trajan’s Forum. .
Dacia existed in the lands that are now part of modern day Romania and Serbia. Rome defeated Dacia in 106 and Dacia ceased to exist.
This beautiful spot is tucked in right behind the Hotel San Moise in San Marco. Just walk all the way down the street (the hotel is located at the corner) and make a right. It’s such a romantic spot to sit and watch the gondolas go buy (even better if you brought your own 🍷 and 🍕)
If you’ve been following my stories you know the nursery pink paint project did NOT go as planned 😂 the room turned out bubble gum color and we were back at the paint store to pick a new shade of soft blush 🎀 but soon it will be all fixed!
What color would you pick for a baby girl’s nursery?
